Very strange the newspapers are continuing to be good boys and not mention his name.

Especially when Bissouma's name was out there for months and the allegation wasn't anywhere near as serious which was kept under wraps.

Wasn't there footage at the time though of Bissouma at the club and having to leave (can't remember if it was just him leaving or being arrested)? So it was pretty hard to keep the players name out of the public domain.

Didn't know that. Even so, would the Press have known what he was arrested for because that info came out pretty quickly I think. Maybe the Police are more secretive with a more serious offence/allegation.

Arsenal are taking a big chance by taking the he-who-shall-not-be-named on tour. If the person in question ends up going down for this that will be a horrible look on the club as a whole. I wonder if it was a less important player whether they would be taking this risk. That said I'm surprised he's able to even enter the USA whilst on bail.
Not even go down, A charge would be enough

Yeah the whole thing is awful and complicated. On the one hand he hasn't been charged so he can still work and could well be innocent, but on the other hand there were multiple victims involved which is a terrible sign. Legally seems like the club are technically within their rights buy morally it's all very murky and uncomfortable.

If it was just the accusation from June you could just about see it being ok but with the 2 from last Summer as well (which the club knew fully about and to all intents and purposes ignored), it's not a good look at all.
Just like to remind everyone. Whoever they are (yes, we know), they have not been charged and they are innocent until proven guilty.

So stop with the shit, otherwise we're no better than gooners when they were going on about Bissouma.

Even if he is subsequently found guilty, those expecting any kind of negative reaction are likely to be disappointed. Man City did the exact same thing in the early days of BM and there was really no fall out from that so I don't know why anyone thinks it'll be any different this time around.

Innocent in a court of law =/= Actually innocent and we should also remember that.

David Ornstein and Romano saying Zinchenko is close to going to Arsenal.

I don't think he's very good and only useful because he's left footed.

Signings from Arsenal could end up being Tielemans, Zinchenko, Jesus and Vieira. 3 out of those 4 are very well established EPL players around 25 years old. Jesus and Tielemans are very good players. Zinchenko is very meh.

They are smart buys, I don't necessarily believe it make Arsenal crazy talented but those 3 EPL players will fit in very naturally to that Arsenal squad.

Would prefer it if they were out there taking risks on over priced Europeans. But they are very sensible buys.

Had we not gone for Perisic I think Zinchenko would have made a lot of sense as a LWB target. He's techinically gifted, a hard worker and has end product.

My thoughts exactly, a huge risk. My first thought was are they pretty confident the charges will be dropped. If I was in charge of any club in a similar situation I would keep a player away from the team until there is a definite resolution. Innocent until proven guilty of course but I would keep a player away and not bring the attention. I agree with above should charges be brought if would reflect badly on the club, sponsors and so on.

I actually think Zinchenko is a really talented player but I'm not sure he'd work as a LB at many clubs beyond City as he's not really a full back, but rather a midfielder masquerading as a full-back.

That works in a team like City where they dominate the ball, but I'm not sure how he'd do as a defender in a team that actually has to do a lot of defending.

I think his best position is as midfielder where he looks great for Ukraine, but not sure that helps them - maybe as an upgrade on or alternative to Xhaka? Between that and a back-up LB he could do quite well I suppose.
