Was listening to the Mark Chapman and David Ornstein podcast yesterday and they were saying some interesting things about Allegri's interview with Arsnale that make me glad we never appointed him.
Apparently the powers that be at Arsenal were really keen on him and he was basically their no1 target. But then when he came for his interview he barely spoke English, even to the point where he struggled to make basic smalltalk, let alone talk about the job. His agent did almost all of the talking, not just translating for Allegri but basically doing the entire interview for him while Allegri just sat there, which obviously didn't go down particularly well.
Then to make matters worse, one of the few things Allegri actually did say (although again, via translation from his agent) was to say something along the lines of why should a great manager like him grace a club like Arsenal with his presence i.e. he tried to turn the interview on his head and make it like Arsenal were auditioning for him to choose them as his next club. This level of arrogance/self-importance was the final straw to put them off him and then when Emery came and did his famous presentation it was like a breath of fresh air in comparisson and that got him the job.
They went on to say that now that the dust has settled Allegri is still one of the club's top targets because the statistical analyst types at the club have consistently identified him as the most statistically compatible manager available or something. And he's supposedly been learning better english in the meantime. But either way, his arrogance instantly puts me off him and I wasn't overly keen in the first place. As for Arsenal who the fuck knows with them. Nobody saw Emery coming until the 11th hour so another left-field appointment might be on the cards anyway.
Robbie has done a few videos regarding what you are saying now, accusing anyone who criticises it as 'jealous' 'threatened' or 'hypocrites'.Interesting for me that they defend their right to express their feelings on AFTV yet don’t see the toxicity and hatred they spew week in and week out has infected the fan base. It’s akin to what goes on here in the Us with Trump and Fox News in that you get this echo chamber repeating itself over and over until it is perceived as the truth.
Dont get me wrong, everyone has the right to their opinion and to express it. But when it comes at the detriment of the very thing you are trying to protect and profess your undying love for it is something else.
If they are so upset with the Kroenkes the only way to affect change is by not going to matches or not spending on anything Arsenal related. But football fans are generally not built that way so they would rather spew their vitriol and that has the complete opposite affect to what they really want.
West Ham are a shower of shit atm.Hard to see them getting much away from home at the moment (next three games West Ham, Everton, Bournemouth) and their next three at home are City, Chelsea and United. How many points are they going to get from those six games?
I didn't realise that!Hard to see them getting much away from home at the moment (next three games West Ham, Everton, Bournemouth) and their next three at home are City, Chelsea and United. How many points are they going to get from those six games?
Wondering the last time we had a run like that? Ramos?Winless in their lat 9 matches, worst run of form since 1977

On the 4/12/2018 Arsenal under Unai Emery extended their unbeaten run to 20 matches.
A year plus one day ago. TBH I can't remember how much longer it went on. Amazing.
FFS That's enough internet for me tonight ? ? ? ?
Here's another stat.
Since the 17th August, Arsenal have won 2 league games. Two league wins in four months!
A narrow home win against Villa and a narrow home win against Bournemouth.
They've only won 1 away game. At Newcastle.
