I can't see that unfortunately. There's massive differences between the two cases.Wenger was a brilliant and revolutionary manager in English football. Arsenal were lucky to have him, even if he outstayed his natural tenure by several seasons.
Fingers crossed their transition to a new era is as tricky as Manchester United's has been.
Definitely feels like you will never get long term managers like wenger and fergie at the top again.
I’m sorry but I don’t agree. Arsenal have been leaking talent for years and have a squad which needs a serious overhaul. United had the same issue, but prices were lower, and in the inflated market where were quoted £50m for Sess and Van dijk was £75m, it’s going to cost a bomb to fix the Arse. If you take the 8?players who are about to be out of contract or leave, and budget for replacement first team players at £35m-£40m each, you’ve got £280m in outlay. If you go for youth, you might need to wait for them to come good, and at £22m a player it still might cost you £180m.I can't see that unfortunately. Ferguson had instilled a winning culture right up until he left. That's been lost at Arsenal for over 10 years now. They've got really good attacking players and they're underperforming at the moment. You could argue United were over performing in 2013.
It's bad news for us, because the only way is up for Arsenal now, barring an absolutely catastrophic appointment. There's a chance there could be some early turbulence, but they'll definitely be more competitive than they are now within 2 years.
2 or 3 new contracts later there's nothing for them to panic about.I’m sorry but I don’t agree. Arsenal have been leaking talent for years and have a squad which needs a serious overhaul. Unless the scum have an amazing group of youth coming through, they are in for some difficult transitional seasons.
Good. Bloody good.
Then we better get a move on and win stuff so we can gazump them when they try and sign people and use the line “were the biggest club in London...”2 or 3 new contracts later there's nothing for them to panic about.
They need 2 CBs, a DM and possibly a wide player. Work to do but I reckon within 2 years they'll have everything sorted.
Not as simple as that though. We've seen this exact scenario work against us many many times.2 or 3 new contracts later there's nothing for them to panic about.

Good post...I strongly suspect it's the latter....if they lose then there's no more "Wenger Out" chants and the guy goes quietly....it's a win/win situation for him....cleverly timed move.
Bleh... Had 10 years of success because he inherited the best back 4+keeper in England, Denis Bergkamp and Marc Overmars. Then spent shitloads on Viera, Petit, Henry and Pires. Once that lot packed in or fucked off they stopped. The last 10 years have been an ever declining series of lols.
Depends on their board really. Their squad is a bit of a mess, to compete in 2 years will require some serious outlay.I can't see that unfortunately. There's massive differences between the two cases.
