A quick watch of a few vids on AFTV after the game. Each one I saw suggested they wanted Emery out. Every Arsenal fan I know say they want him out.

I honestly think their club is in a bit of a mess. The board don't seem to really care about the football.

I don't see how they turn things around.

Love the way he says he left his kid at home on his 9th birthday as some kind of altruistic act of kindness to spare him having to watch Arsenal, but then, the man has a point.

You are correct. They are in a precarious position indeed.

Xhaka posted a picture of him and the Swiss squad celebrating.

Emile Rowe-Smith made the comment "Enjoy it while you can". Suggesting that the atmosphere in the club is really bad.

Also their previous captain wants out, after their previous captain jumped ship. Now, their new captain Aubemeyang is also making noises about getting out.

Their record signing, Pepe, is turning out to be a major flop. And players are openly liking "Emery out" posts.

If we can do, we can really take advantage as I firmly believe they are heading for midtable status.

Time is an interesting discussion point in football. Many fans seem to believe just giving someone time will result in improvement. But if the wrong manager is in charge or the setup is wrong then more time can be massively detrimental.

Like Utd and to a lesser extent ourselves, Arsenal believe themselves to be a big club and any new manager is under huge new pressure.

Emery is coming up to a season and a half at the club. I don't see any identity forming or any real improvement. If they continue with Emery then I think they are going down the wrong path.

But their board are unambitious and don't seem to really care. So any real change is unlikely.

Arsenal will only really change if they strike gold with a manager choice or one of their players becomes Henry level. I don't see that happening.

If they have any sense they will go for Allegri, so I hope they don’t.
Just watched some of those train crash AFTV interviews and a few of them are talking about them having a net spend of only £13m in the summer when they actually spent around £140m, so it’s all a messy and confused at the moment....ha

DT was previously saying that he hates Mourinho, wouldn't want him at Arsenal and we've royally messed up by hiring him

It was a bit childish to be honest

That aside, I'm not entirely sure he realises that Arsenal won't be able to attract a 'big name' to the club, until the board start taking an interest. Any new manager will have a pitiful transfer budget + player sales and have to do a major rebuild in 2 seasons time

They're not a particularly attractive prospect anymore

I think a lot of their spend was in installments, over the next few seasons

No way Allegri goes there btw; this isn't Arsenal from 2006

Watching Arsenal TV (when they lose, natch) truly reiterates what an entitled fanbase they have.

They all seem to think they have devine right to success.

It's odd. I watch it thinking are they so lacking in self awareness? They could be Liverpool fans.

And the host guy. He's loving it!

Sure but thats the same for everyone and also their receipts from sales will be staged as well.
I think some of them are trying to make a bad situation sound better ie they can’t cope with fact that they might have wasted a big wedge of money and still don’t have CL insight.
I know a lot of gooners - the old school ones who lived through Neil Rioch and Howe etc are coping with it quite well but the younger ones who only knew the good Wenger years, Henry, Vierra etc are not coping well at all and I will be putting plastic bedsheets on their Christmas present list!
