Their fans have well fucked up Xhaka’s confidence and mental state.

I mean I know we’re not best pleased with some of our players at present, but they have taken it to a whole other level...

what i find laughable is that those same fans seem to think that he owes them an apology.

Yeah and the pundits all seem to think he does too, although I agree with you that its laughable really.

They've wound him up to point he’s retaliated and in the end we’re all only human.

Arsenal are so mentally soft. I’ll be fucking disgusted if we don’t get our act together and finish above them.

Very petty of myself but I love watching that guendouzi lad lose

Agree x1million. It is so petty but who cares, he gets all flustered and weird and his hair is just stupid!

One of the best things about football is that we can be petty haha!

For me it kind of cancels out. The fans were in the wrong and so is he.

For what it's worth, I think he's not a very good player and I've always been confused about what exactly he's supposed to bring to the team, but you can't really question his effort. For me the only time it's acceptable to boo a player would be when they're very noticably not even trying and almost taking the piss e.g. Adebayor. Xhaka may be a bit shit, but I do think he genuinely put the effort in. Or at least, his lack of effort is in no way severe enough to warrant that reaction from the fans.

Arsenal, both Wenger and Emery, have consistently played Xhaka as a DM, usually the deepest lying midfielder, and it doesn't match his skillset at all. He has shown time and again that he doesn't have the discipline to play that role, and shown for Switzerland that with a pure DM next to him, he can roam around and be reasonably effective.

Not a world beater, not what Arsenal thought they'd bought for £35m the same summer they laughed at us for buying Wanyama for £12m (who at least had one amazing season despite all that has happened since), but a reasonably good box to box player who could do a job.

I agree with you, it cancels out for me. They are wrong to go quite so hard on him, he was wrong to react the way he did (understandable though it was). And Emery has to take some blame for allowing the squad to choose him as captain when he and the squad surely must have known that he wasn't a fan favourite.

Spoof I assume

"“Ball’s in their court now,” Xhaka told Soccer on Sunday. “Every time they boo me, I’ll get another Spurs tattoo. Betrayal is the only language these fickle cockney scumbags understand. And if they go after the missus on social media? So help me, I’ll get plastic surgery to look like Harry Kane.”"

Imagine if that were real :ROFLMAO:
