Speculation aside, do you want Robbie back from Celtic to play in our inaugural CL campaign assuming we don't keep hold of Gud?

Or could my grandma score more goals for Celtic and we sell him while we can still get a decent price?

Hmmmmm good question! I think I'd rather we got a new man in, I'd prefer Bellamy as I think pace is vital. Keane is so hit and miss, but damn he'd have loved last night!

At the moment I'd keep him, not because he is a legend at the club which he is but he offers a different option, but if and when we get a new striker it will be time for him to move on.
His efforts will always be greatly appreciated by me.

Imagine how many goals he'd score with the benefit of a Gareth Bale creating ten chances every game!! wow! doesn't bear thinking about.

I think he is a great player, not sure if he fits in but would rather have Bellamy than Keane now.

Purely because I am so totally undecided about him, that if 'Ary thinks selling is the better option I am fine with that, but if he opts to keep, I could find plenty of reasons to agree with that, too.

Honestly, as long as we keep the wage bill reasonable I really don't care. I'd rather have Gudjohnsen as he's a class act and will be happy to play occasionally, but if Monaco play hardball Keane will do.

We will be searching for a shit-hot striker in the summer, if we get one who can play in a 451 we can get away with three options up front. Good offers for Keane and Pav and I'd wish them well but not shed any tears.

This seems pretty reasonable to me. Nice post.

I think he's too far down the pecking order now, and I would still like a new top class striker anyway. So sell him now. Even if we don't keep Gudjohnsen.

1. New super striker
2. Defoe
3. Crouch
4. Pav or Gudjohnsen (preferably Gudjohnsen)

I'd be happy to see Celtic have him on advantageous terms - perhaps what we paid Liverpool for him but spread over a good number of years. They might be able to manage that. He is a hero there, and could play out his career in a productive and highly appreciated manner.

I know it sounds like going out to stud (a lifelong ambition of mine) but I just don't think he fits in with us any more and it would be a kind, face-saving gesture to a previously excellent servant of the club.

Option C. It's Harry's call and he deserves to make it. End of the day he's a Legend and I'd gladly keep him.

If Robbie has his confidence restored to pre- Liverpool days then he is a better asset than Defoe and Pav to the overall team performance.

He was a great servant to Spurs, but I'd be quite happy now if we were to sell him to Celtic.

I think he will move on, although I refuse to vote for option A as it is far too disrespectful for a club legend with more than 120 goals.

i think its time we said good bye to keane, we need to get a top top striker in one with CL experience preferable but in harry i trust, if he feels that keane can cut the mustard in the CL then why not, he's worth a shot

I think Keane will be disruptive if he comes back as he hates not to start games. He will always be a legend for 120 goals but leave it there. A better shout would be get Berbatov back - much as we dislike him for going to Man U, he is still the most complete all round striker I have seen at the Lane in my years (which started in the mid 70's) and if we made proper use of him, especially in Europe then he would be a better option than Pav

Get rid. Well past his best.

Was once a great, now he's way off the pace. Plus he isn't much of a squad player, as in he wouldn't happily sit on the bench.

I voted sell him, but I want to add that I disagree with the use of deadwood in relation to him. I just feel that Defoe, Crouch and Pavlyuchenko are all ahead of him in our pecking order, and that we need both the squad slot and the money to put towards a top class Berba type, and Robbie Keane is one of a number of expendable players who can be sold to raise such funds. He's had a brilliant half season, and he will fetch a good fee from one of the tier of clubs below us (Villa, Everton, Liverpool haha), so along with the likes of Hutton, O'Hara, Jenas, Taarabt and Giovani, I don't see their place amongst our current squad but they are all very saleable.

I kid you not though, Robbie Keane is a club legend and my stomach churns at the thought of the plethora of Spurs fans who resent him.
