He's a dinosaur...so is Keys...so are many other pundits. The overgrown genital hair that is football punditry needs a damn good prune.
/QUOTE]

I agree with that, they're old school cavemen, the world has changed, I'm glad he's gone. I just hope he gets replaced by a woman! Muppet.

I'm saying that Gray put himself in a position to be sacked by making those comments and therefore he can have no real complaints.

However, in most companies unless a complaint was actually made on the strength of those comments, a warning would be the most likely course of action.

Is it right that such comments are made? Probably not. Does something like that happen in every workplace up and down the country regularly, without people being sacked instantly, I dare say yes.

Yes, that's exactly why people like him (in the public eye) should be made an example of. A message needs to go out to bigots in every workplace that that sort of behaviour is unacceptable.

The title of this thread needs to add an "apostrophe s" and take away an "ed". And then and only then will it be scarier than some of the posts.

Think we might have to agree to disagree on this one.

Sky should sack every member of Soccer AM if that is the line they are taking, because make no mistake over rhe years they have said some pretty near the knuckle things.

And extending that to every workplace in the country, my god will work become the most sterile of places.

I'm not excusing what he said and in my view it probably did cross the line between acceptable banter and something that was out of order. But it's the rank hypocracy that I dislike and I bet you some things get said in the back office of Sky, and most companies, that if they followed the same path would lead to huge amounts of sackings.

Brady came out today and made a point that the three senior employees she has employed since joining West Ham are all women. That's just as bad, as positive discrimination is as bad as negative discrimination.

A bit of common sense is needed.

Bit of pointless argument you guys are having... its pretty obvious Andy gray was stitched up!! big time. Two mistakes with a microphone, leaked on the internet and media is a bit of coincidence. Followed by another youtube video of him acting the usual prick.... then for him to be sacked and richard keys to keep his job. Come on... someone hated him in that company.

Richard keys has been caught with the microphones on complaining about things he shouldn't be before and he gets a second chance. It doesn't matter whether she(charlotte jackson) complained or not... 2 million a year andy gets the chop

On a weirder note... everyone i've talked to about this hates his guts. I've met no one who has a good word to say about him. I think he is a tool but i thought someone must surely like him if he is on tv all the time.

He's a right dick, but it's quite obvious that Murdoch and his cronies have stitched him up for having the temerity to sue the News of the Screws for hacking his phone.

Still, you work for the devil, don't be surprised when he shafts you up the bum hole.

This.

If this is the way it is going then Loose Women should have been banned and all of the old dogs jailed years ago.

These new quotes are gold:

Now Keys could be in hot water again, after the footage featuring Jamie Redknapp, Graeme Souness and Ruud Gullit emerged.

In a discussion about a former girlfriend of Redknapp, Keys asks if he'd "smashed it", to which the former footie star replies that he used to go out with her.

But by then the presenter had started laughing, and adds: "Mind you, that's a stupid question, if you were anywhere near it, you definitely smashed it.

"You could have gone round there any night and found Redknapp hanging out the back of it."

This is just getting out of hand now.

That is pure and simple, bloke banter. It happens in every single football changing room and pub across the country.

And thats not a problem.

These are however TV presenters paid millions of pounds to be on TV and quite frankly should show a bit more maturity when they are in the public eye.

Can't really argue that mate.

It's purely an insight as to what blokes talk about, I reckon someone has made a sly buck selling this sort of stuff.

Dont get me wrong...down the pub or with friends im sure this sort of stuff is laughed off and all forgotten.

But theres are people in the public eye and they should know better. Its like a cringe worthy episode of Mad Men.

I guess Key's is pretty much gone now too. Cut backs, It's even effecting Sky, I'd imagine Gray and Key's would have been on big big wages, probably a lot less to employ Redknapp in Gray's place and that other bloke that does the SSN that did the live game on Monday.

^ Hope so. There is something unnerving about Keys. It's like he's a kiddie fiddler or something.

The thing is, the 'smashed it' stuff is just sexist banter, as people have said in the world of football it's just there. Whether you like it or not. There's a massive massive difference between that and saying, seriously, that women are not capable of officiating football matches.

But why would you sit there talking like that with cameras in front of you? You know that there is a good chance they could be turned on so they took risks but prob just thought they were invincible.

That is the kind of talk that they should have if they're in their homes or amongst each other privately. Imo although it is just usual banter it's plain stupid for them to talk like that in their positions.
