Amazing interview. My bet is he had PTSD and should really of had counselling. He probably still needs it tbh as you have to systematically work your way through something like that.
Definitely see him in a new light and liked the way he was gracious about AVB.
Looks like he did a lot of growing up in 2013.
I can see why he and AVB clashed as AVB has a super strict mindset.Brilliant interview.
Hope he can really kick on and have a big season.
Maintain that not integrating Ade was Avb's biggest mistake
He is not lazy, he just has the first touch of a sledge hammer. He has 2 faces , lazy and not too lazy , but he is twice better than Berbatoff
He came across well in the punditry he did for the World Cup in South Africa. But the majority of his most famous laziness and (sometimes violent) petulance was still ahead of him. It's easy to come across sincere and humble if you sincerely and humbly want to put across the best possible version of yourself on national teevee. I haven't watched the video because I don't like that uncertain feeling when someones pulling on your heartstrings but everything about their past behaviour tells you they're on the make. Probably he's very convincing. But I can't find any reason to bother trying to believe any wise / humble old Ade stuff till he actually shows he's learnt how to turn up when he's not feeling like it. Bah Humbug.
I know you've not watched it, but you'd have to be pretty cynical to doubt his sincerity when speaking about someone dying in his hands.
It was about as engaging an interview as you're ever likely to see with a footballer.
He has been through a lot and because of that he has a very strong character. He looks like he doesn't take no nonsense from anyone, especially if it sounds unreasonable to him, which explains the hat incident with AVB. He will also do things or make decisions at the spur of the moment for the sake of his family or country because to him those things are important to him than even his career. Kinda explain some of the decisions he made which seems absurd to us at that time.
This is not something I necessarily ascribing to Ade here but this would be the mentality of a child. A young child at that. And a spoiled little shit to boot. His career is one which he gets paid a small fortune every week. There are responsibilities that go along with that.He has been through a lot and because of that he has a very strong character.
