AC Milan are looking to include a purchase option in a loan deal for Tottenham Hotspur star Pape Matar Sarr, but Spurs are only entertaining a simple loan.
Sarr was signed by Tottenham last summer from Metz, but was immediately loaned back to the French side on a season-long loan.

Don't feel like Milan makes sense as a loan. We need him to get minutes and there's no way he's a regular starter at the league winners, surely? Also no chance we sell him.

Better so send him to a smaller club, ideally in the UK, where he'll play every game.

Exactly, need him to get up to strength for the prem, a season in the championship would do him the world of good...

I'd like to keep him til Jan. Cover for Skippy til he's 100% plus a couple of Cup games. Help him settle in and get a feel for he club and what Conte wants. I've lost track of the HG situation though so that might be a problem.

That would be a great deal for both parties.

Poor kid would have to suffer playing for the bottom team in the league 2 years in a row, though.

Regrettably (for me at least) you are likely right. The club simply hasn't been active enough in the transfer market.

The loan market will look vastly different in January than it does this summer. The potential for player injuries and fatigue post World Cup is something that many teams will be impacted by. I say keep Sarr until January, let him learn the system and learn from Bissouma, Rodrigo, PEH and then we can re-evaluate in January.
