I agree^^ why would we want woodgate? are we plan play 6 defenders at the back?, Woodgate is not better to what is here already, and since madrid move his wages have been very high, i fear this signing is a disaster

How does anybody on here know who has turned us down? Oh the rags said so, so it must be so.

No one knows, but it's a forum about Spurs, so people will mull this stuff over. Seriously, what are we supposed to talk about?

Everything here is true.
That he's an injury prone coke head who likes f*cking in toilets at night clubs, but would make up half of an immense defensive partnership, with King

good call

i think Ramos could use him alongside Kaboul when he wants to rest King with Dawson

Dawson - King
Woodgate - Kaboul

and when we are playing against top team, Woodgate and King are starting

Woodgate is a class defender but questions marks over his injury record. Why are we going for such an injury prone defender is quite baffling considering we have Gardner and King on the books, both with dodgy injury records. To add Woodgate to that list well it could only happen at THFC.

We've all been crying out for an 'experienced' centre half to cover when King isn't playing and I think Woodgate is very capable of doing that, his injury problems are the only concern for me.
If he and Ledders can both stay fit then on paper that looks a very good pairing

Looks like the deal is back on.
from the toon website:

Kev Not Hopeful On Woody Return

KEVIN Keegan admits that Middlesbrough defender Jonathan Woodgate will probably not be joining the Magpies during the January transfer window.
There had been widespread reports on Saturday that the former Newcastle and Real Madrid star was set to sign for United.
But, speaking after the FA Cup Fourth Round defeat at Arsenal, Keegan said that he did not think that would be happening.
"At this moment I don't think he is going to come to Newcastle," explained the Toon boss.
"In fact I am almost certain he isn't. I think he is going to go somewhere else.
"It looks like we have lost him. I am very disappointed. I fully understand though. But I desperately want him to come."

So that leaves only Fred turning us down (if true). He knew what was in front of him Berbs/Keane/Defoe/Bent and probably shat his pants with that competition.

Yep. IMO, we shouldn't even be thinking of strikers. Berbatov and Keane are among the best strikers in the PL. The two of them together also form the best partnership I've seen in the PL since Gudjohnsen/Hasselbaink. Only Tevez and Rooney come close when we are talking striker partnerships. Defoe and Bent for cover? It doesn't get much better than that.

Of course...IF Berba leaves, everything changes.

We were never in for Fred, it was a load of shit made up by his agent to get other clubs interested.

And Smiffy's right, this thread is so hilariously pointless

Well if it hadn't been bumped, we wouldn't have to do it - would we?
