People writing us off, including our own fans, but our own manager still believes. As long as he does I'm with him in that mindset.

To be honest even if it is a long shot, as long as it's mathematically possible we can always have a bit of hope. Especially as we will play all three, two at home and haven't lost to any of them this season. City v Arsenal next up in the league, so at least one drops points there. And I think Villa may still have to play them as well?

We have a game in hand on top of all that as well. I'm not saying we will win the league, but it's not entirely impossible. We just can't afford to drop any points between now and May.

Villa & Spurs to face Arsenal, City & Liverpool in the remaining games. These 6 games should decide the outcome of Title challenge & top4.

Villa to play : Westham, City, Liverpool,Arsenal,Chelsea,Wolves, Brentford, Brighton,Bournemouth,Chelsea, Palace,
Spurs to play. : Westham,City, Liverpool,Arsenal,Chelsea,Newcastle,Fulham,Forest,Luton,Burnley,Sheffield

Both play 5 common opponents and 4 of the remaining 6 are relegation zone teams. With a extra game in hand , I would say we are well placed on paper to get more points than Villa in the run in

Mathematically possible to still win the league but history says we have to remain unbeaten, we have lost six games and in the last ten years no team has won the title losing more than six matches, it has been done a couple of times losing six but never more.
Pretty confident that we are going to finish above Villa , midweek games, injuries and suspensions going to effect them , Mcginn has started every game this season without him for three games could see them implode.

Boys, can we reign in the title talk, there's being optimistic and then there is being delusional

We would be in the shout if we hadn't had those fuck ups against Chelsea and Wolves home and away but last week a few people on here were starting to moan about Ange

Lets be realistic. Get 4th then win the Quadruple next year

If yesterday is any indication of how Villa will play in the league after a European away tie, I'm hoping they get all the way to the final.

They would have to play European games before the following matches:
Ajax (H) before West Ham (A) [West Ham will also play in Europe before this fixture]
QF 1L before Arsenal (A) [Arsenal might also play in Europe before this fixture]
QF 2L before Bournemouth (H)
SF 1L before Brighton (A) [Brighton might (they wont...) also play in Europe before this fixture]
SF 2L before Liverpool (A) [Liverpool might also play in Europe before this fixture]

Those are some absolutely stinky games to have to play after a Thursday in Europe. Top 4 is definitely ours to lose.

I don't think anything is out of the question yet. The title race is very tight this season. The key for us will be about keeping our back 5 fit for the rest of the matches we have and, based on what we've seen so far this season, I think that's unlikely.

This team seem to like the big occasion, so I have confidence that should we find ourselves in a potential position to really have a go, the players have the belief to go and do it.

By the time we play the goons we could be just 5 points behind them and if that scenario does materialise I would fancy us to beat them as I think Arsenal's bottle is still questionable.

Having said all that, in reality I still think 4th or 5th is where I think we will finish this season, which would be a remarkable achievement on it's own, given how we ended last season.

Such a shame we had that injury crisis. If that hadn't happened we would be right in the mix.

Still think fourth would be an amazing result given how things currently stand. We were much more ourselves yesterday, but we are still bedding into this new style, and as a result I still expect a little inconsistency. We have some really tough games still to come (so do our rivals) so things won’t go 100% our own way.

We must build on this result by beating Fulham next week.

Come on guys let's keep it real. If we went to a villa forum and they were saying they can win the league we would have said they are delusional

Didn't realise there were both prem and fa cup games next weekend. Beat Fulham and we'll go above Villa before they play away at West Ham on the Sunday.
Let's capitalise on the fabulous win at Villa. We need to back it up this momentum with a win at Fulham to turn the screws up even further on the Villa.

There's nothing we can do about how West Ham will perform after our game but we can do something about putting the pressure on Villa and slamming the door even further shut in Man United's face....

No one’s saying we will win it though, just that it’s still possible. Presumably people who buy lottery tickets think it’s possible they’ll win the lottery, otherwise why bother?

Anyway, who cares what other fans think? They will always find something to mock us about. That’s just football, the way plenty on here have laughed at Liverpool’s “delusional” fans or Arsenal for going over the top for celebrating a big win.

BBC have consulted the Milliard Gargantubrain computer, or some other bollocks, and it's predicted this;

so that's 17pts from 11 games? That's pretty average tbh, especially in a run-in where you should be at full tilt.

fulham (a) - 3
luton (h) - 3
wham (a) - 3
forest (h) - 3
newcastle (a) - 3
city (h) - 1
scum (h) - 3
liverpool (a) - 1
burnley (h) - 3
sheff utd (a) - 3

26 for me. even with a few misses here and there it still should be 21+. Reckon we'll be a lot closer than 13pts to 3rd too.

Interesting that the computer predicts us to pick up 17 points from our remaining 11 matches. That’s about 1.5 points a match, whereas we’ve been averaging more like 1.9 during the first 27 matches of the season.

It’s also predicting that Newcastle and Chelsea will perform almost as well us in terms of points during the remainder of the season. Which seems a bit weird.

When we sold Harry 2 days before the opening game, who thought we’d be even in with chance of 4th, even with that crazy injury/suspension crisis.

Way ahead of where i thought we’d be on the opening day.
