Check that. Found it. It was the 03 WWC. FIFA moved it away from China in May of that year because of SARS and gave it to the US. The tournament was held in September. So 4 months notice.

@kr1978

You know why we all forgot that?

Because those ladies didn't wear tighter shorts.

That was brilliant.
Yep, saw it on Sky Atlantic as you can't get in on YouTube in the UK. He's absolutely hilarious in the way he makes his points, but they are always right.

The most shocking think I took from the segment is that the Woman's World Cup is being played exclusively on Astro-Turf. Absolutely unbelievable.

Blatter saying that they should have a limit on the length of time you can be President after him being the FIFA President Dictator since 1998 is like Labour admitting they had over-spent just after doing it.

And even that didn't happen. :joyful:

So is it:

a) His lawyers have received correspondence from the US court over the last day or so.
b) Sponsors have put pressure on him to go.
c) UEFA threatened to boycott.
d) His massive ego made a point of being re-elected before resigning.

e) He got a visit from Ron Mac's evil twin

Gutted Blatter left before trying the Enfield defense. I was looking forward to him wandering around the stage with a huge wad of money goading the press with "I've got Loadsamoney! Bish, bash, bosh have some money Nigeria! Build a stadium Ghana! Loadsablattermoney!"

United passions 2 should be interesting, I hope Tim Roth reprises his role as Sepp

Thing is Russia and the middle east did deserve to get a world cup (before Ukraine). It should have all been done above board and admitting the problems. Oz deserves one as well.

Clearly 2022 should go to the United States as a token of our services in the removal of Blatter. Had to do all of the dirty work for the rest of you.

Gave you a funny, but it is slightly ironic that the country who gives avout the fewest fucks about football had to be the ones to start the fire

Very true. This is such a huge story yet people over here in the States don't even understand the scope and impact of it. In fact, I hear quite a bit of complaining that the major sports and news networks are covering it as much as they are and even more complaining that tax payer money and resources is being used on this investigation.

Drone strikes would've made for a more dramatic finale (albeit more difficult to hand over the WC afterwards).
