Villa look like they’re coming back into form again.

United are starting to put a run together.

It’s going to be a real scrap for that 4th place.

Villa are very patchy. I suspect when European football comes back around, they’ll struggle to juggle games.

Three consecutive home games now (assuming Chelsea moved) before Villa away. Gotta win them all (Brighton, Wolves and Palace)

2 wins in 6, against Sheffield United and Burnley, which they only won because of a dodgy penalty. They were getting fortunate wins as well before that.
United are starting to put a run together.
What run? They've got 2 wins in 7.

It’s going to be a real scrap for that 4th place.
Chill out a bit and look at some facts before you panic and post

When everyone is healthy and in full form we are 3rd best team. Right now 4th or 5th and lucky that we don't have any other competitions to focus on.
That’s a silly hypothetical because we have everyone fit and in form about once every four years.

Even the start of the season when we were good we had no Bentancur, and Richarlison horribly out of form.

Really wanted top 4 but weirdly think we could win the league next year if we weren’t in Europe again so I’m confused about what I want right now 😂

Below 4th is unacceptable considering that we have only PL to play
Given what we’ve had to deal with this season in terms of losing Kane, major injuries and suspensions etc I personally think 5th would be a decent finish even considering we went out both cups early.

To say anything below 4th is unacceptable misses out on the context of what Ange walked into and has had to overcome.

He’s transformed our club and the way we play.

Id love 4th and back to CL but I won’t scoff if we finish 5th and think we could have a really good go at the EL and also it might help our league from moreso than playing CL as we’d have to play near full strength in every CL & PL game so could only rotate in the early domestic cup and very easy PL fixtures whereas with EL we’d have more chances to spread the minutes around the squad and save our best XI for the league so I see pros and cons of 4th or 5th and would be fairly happy with either tbh.

That being said I truely think we are a better side than Villa and hope once we get Sonny and Biss back we will start to show our early season form again and go on to clinch 4th.

Yeah the next 3 home games are going to be huge for our momemtum in terms of top 4.

We've a difficult April and we need to maximise on these next fixtures to give us that springboard for a tough April.

But yeah I think yesterday knocked our confidence (fans) a bit but getting our big players back with Bentancur/Madders getting up to speed and things will feel very different.

We'll finish above Villa I think.

Still think at least 4th, possibly 3rd.

Next 3 home games are huge and could put us in a great position if we get the job done and stop letting the opposition back in. All Saturday 3pm kick offs at the Lane and should be full houses as not on tv. Get behind the boys and let’s make these count for the top 4.

Big cup replay home to Chelsea on Wed as well. Farther they go the more they will suffer with europe as well. We are away to them in about 4 games time . Don’t strike me as a definite top 4 team. We have more class than them, even though they are a decent side.

We didn’t see much Ange's style of football yesterday but we were still controlling the game and 2-1 up near the end of the game. It wouldn’t have hurt to put on the uglier players late on and resort to humping the ball up to Gil in midfield as an outlet when under pressure - he’s not much use defending against anti-football slags like Everton in the box anyway. When we have a fit team with all of our major players firing on all cylinders then stick to Ange's style of football religiously, no problem with that at all.

Whatever race we're in, we HAVE to win our next 3 games.

Brighton, Wolves and Palace all at home.

If we get 9 points there it will put us in a really strong position going into the final stretch.

But if we drop points it'll be pretty disheartening.

Lots of sliding doors moments yesterday - Pickford made a few great saves that would have killed the game, and we were quite frankly stupid in stoppage time - we had more than enough opportunities to clear the ball but with Deki and Richarlison (I think ??) phaffng around with the ball we gave away a completely unnecessary free kick and then bang.....in a moment, 2 points down the drain.

we have to be more clinical and we have to get a bit more street smart in our game management in stoppage time.

Man United 6 points away from us as it stands.

If we beat Brighton next Saturday they’ll be a big gap to 7th with West Ham also playing Arsenal that weekend.

Top 6 is looking very likely, but next weekend against Brighton is now a huge game we must win.

While I agree with you, winning those three games isn’t going to be easy. Brighton and Wolves are both decent, and while Palace are having a torrid time right now, if they sack Hodgson tomorrow and get Cooper or someone in, they could get a bounce just in time to play us.
