to everyone who was adamant that Bentancur starts ahead of Sarr when he returned from injury, I’m waiting for that apology ;)

Please get Kulu on for Johnson. It’s like playing with ten men, he’s so hesitant.

Think we’ve been pretty ropey bar two moments of brilliance.

Hojbjerg and Bentancur giving us control in midfield and just keep giving it away.

Sarr and Kulu can win us this game.
Strange player to dig out when our midfield are hardly winning a single ball.

It's ridiculous but if he comes to get the ball and goes through the player it will be more a free to keeper than standing still and getting backed into.
We need to be smarter. Someone needs to stand in front of Vicario and simply not allow their bloke to push into him.

A repeat of the Brentford half time talk and changes are needed.

Sarr for Bentancur
Kulusevski for Johnson

We need to stop with the tippy tappy crap at the back when Everton have us pinned in. The only way it ever works is when we have a midfield outlet in Sarr and/or Bissouma.

The changes should allow us to become more competitive in central midfield and Kulu will give us an option of mixing it up as he can hold the ball up unlike Johnson who’s getting bullied by Mykolenko

Bents and PEH are just too slow over the first couple of yards, we’re second or third to everything loose.
PEH has atleast got stuck in and saved us at least once. This is Bents 3rd game in a row where he’s been nonexistent/bad. Need to get Sarr on for him

I’d agree but Bentancur has been worse, he’s practically non existent out there. Miles off the pace.
He is unfortunately.

Interestingly I thought he looked great after his long way off.

But its the ankle injury that has taken something out of him.

He isnt really gliding past players or moving into the right areas.

It is certainly putting us under pressure

We can't seem to put two decent halves together, so I'm assuming we're going to run away with this in the second half.

We are 1000x better when playing aggressive attacking footy but every time we get a goal or two up we suddenly decide it's enough and we should let the other team have a go.

If we played against a team of dinner ladies we'd go 2-0 up in the first 2 minutes and find ourselves desperately hanging on by half time.

Does playing attacking footy and banging goals in get boring or something? If we were 1-0 down we'd be playing them off the park. It's like a psychological hangover from Mourinho/Conte days.
