It's just up to us now whether we want to match the deal. He's coming to London so we have that chance at least to get him. However if not it's because we don't believe the fee is worth it.

Some of you still insist on doing it to yourselves each and every time 🤦🏻‍♂️.

Regardless, Dragusin and a quick time deal for Werner still represents a very good window for us - we came into it with a dire need for a CB and the option some other positions COULD be upgraded. However even just leaving this window with Dragusin alone would have been fine with me.

Get the injured players back, plus the guys on international duty, then keep pushing on till we can carry on the rebuild in the better window over the summer.

No it’s not Romano Brugge fed this out this morning . Something odd is going on with Brugge right now they have told us one thing but the agent has now told us another 🤷‍♀️
Perhaps they only want a loan back and are forcing interested parties to up their offer by accepting any deal they deem acceptable.

I Wonder if this is one where we ask Ange what he prefers to do

Reading between the lines (so I might be wrong) it seems like we have set a price and won't go past it. Brentford have offered Brugges more favourable terms whilst the player himself is happy to go to either club.

I know people are citing other deals, but you'd figure that top level attacking talent would come at a premium. Nusa is going to be expensive compared to a CM or LB of the same age.

It is strange for him to go to Brentford. He could just wait and leave in the summer. He would have his pick of clubs.

Agreed can't win them all but.it seems we put.a hit.load of effort and energy in to this one and if you target someone as a club and the manager wants it we should of got this over the line imo.
But maybe the manager wanted him only if he was available to play now.

We have a tendency by to assume that when we don’t sign a player it must be a failure rather than an appropriate decision by the very few people who do have all the facts.

To be fair Brentford could offer him more playing time and a much easier exit if any of the bigger clubs come sniffing.

Im not going to get people’s hopes up but there could be a strange twist to this I’m baffled to say the least.
I think you said from the start the club were trying for a bidding war. Back fired on the striker in the summer and looks like they've naused this up as well. Guess only one who knows if they are bluffing is agent
