We didn’t play particularly well, but we won’t always. I thought we actually kept them at bay relatively comfortably most of the game but were just crap going forward. It happens.

City are the best team in the world so all these “We were fucking shit. We’re so fucking shit. Why are we so shit?” comments could probably do with some perspective.

Given the circumstances not at all a bad result. What beat us was our lack of quality in the final third. Kulu needs to go back on the right now Madders is back with Werner on the right and Richy central. Until Biss, Sarr and Son return
Not at all a bad result?

Since when was going out of a cup at home with one shot all night not a bad result?

Yeah sorry but we got fucked over, for example, against Pompey in the FA cup semi because any time an impact on the keeper causes him to go down it's a fk. This has been maintained even post-VAR. Inconsistent to allow it.

Overall not that angry since it was only the 4th round, nothing ventured nothing really lost. But the goal not being disallowed is inconsistent and dumb.

I thought the performance was equal to the level of players we had out there.

Our front 3 lacked any real quality.

Not our best midfield.

The Cheats turned up and defended well, andvthere superior footballers edged it.

We looked liked a work in progress up against one of the best teams in the world who were really up for it and yet they still needed a set piece to win it.

Id have loved to see their keeper worked a bit more but here we are.

You are having a laugh. PEH better than VDV? Troll somewhere else.
We got in behind City 4 times I counted. 3 of those were from Hojberg passes, and he was involved in the 4th as well. Most players were excellent tonight, including VDV.

What a naff way to go out. We were the second best team no doubt, but they really didnt create much despite almost 20 shots. We gifted debruyne a chance and they bundled in a goal.

They gave away cynical fouls all night but were not punished (although richy gave his fair share back). Although we were poor in attack and we only had one shot on goal, we had about 4/5 chances where we were almost clean through but for a poor ball or ignoring werner.

Sad to go out but no way was this a lopsided match like the stats may suggest. Too many attacking players not on their game tonight, but i know that we wont play like this often and we wont be pressed as hard as we were tonight.

Worst performance? No. Poor performance? Yes.

Thought we could've been braver in the attack but I understand that City are just that good and were always going to be tough opposition.

Regroup, recharge and prep for another busy week in the league.

Really glad we're getting players back from injury.

We had one effort in the entire game at home and even that can barely be called a half chance. We had considerably more players missing in the reverse fixture at City and did way, way more in the final third. Likewise against United.

I’m not downing tools and saying Ange out, I’m simply saying it as it is: we were garbage tonight.
I agree not a good performance but City played better tonight and we missed Lo Celso and Maddison big time.

Think you’re missing some context by just saying ‘we were garbage’.

One team that very rarely gives sloppy passes away under pressure is City. They showed why they are so good on the ball.

I thought off the ball we worked hard and that is a positive. The defensive performance didn't deserve to concede a goal in that manner. It's unlike that defense.
Not quite sure why this is funny? I thought for the most part we dealt with things well. Vicario only had to make a few saves and one sloppy weak moment cost us a replay.

Not saying we deserved to win by any means, they did. But the defenders did their more than their part tonight.

Dias has been fouling the shit out of Vicario on every corner and the time they actually get something out of it it's not convincing enough to punish him.
We needed to figure that out on the pitch, Vic needed to have someone marking him and a player on the front post.
Keepers in general are too soft these days with crosses into the box and corners, how often do you see a keeper come out and punch or catch a ball off a corner, hardly ever happens these days.

Outclassed tonight, a really poor performance! City deservedly through and the goal was correctly awarded, weak from Vicario and I'm a huge fan. Very disappointed to be honest, so so poor tonight.
Agree with the first part. Not sure what Vicario could do with Rodri backing into him.
