I think you all forget how good our current squad actually is. It would be great if we sold Eriksen and signed Fernandes AND Lo Celso but where do they fit amongst the other great midfielders we have?

Stop hanging off the edge of every journalist/ITKs word and just see how this plays out with an open mind. You are allowed to form your own opinions, too.

Personally I refuse to believe Levy won’t back Poch, but we’ll see.

100% spot on - some people need to get real and stop getting carried away by the ITK thinking it is 100% gospel - always take it with a pinch of salt - I'd be happy enough with all that if it happens.

Perhaps people think adding one of the brightest young talents in English Football and a quality Portugese footballer in addition to one of the brightest midfield talents in Ndombele and not keeping a player who no longer wants to be at the club is a Positive thing.

No one is talking peak performance happy CE here.
Hope this has helped with the baffled head issue

Just maybe... I know crazy as it might sound... With nobody willing to pay Toby's release clause & meet his pay demands, that we might actually be paying him the going market rate?

I can’t believe people saying only replacing Eriksen is good. Alli and Eriksen were run into the ground last season along with Son and Kane. We seem to be paying the price now with a few of them picking up injury problems. We need somebody else there to ease the load, and keep our best players in the best possible condition and form. That means 2 in if Eriksen goes. Personally I’ll be gutted if we don’t manage that.

We know Levy is a tight wad but he won't sell Eriksen unless there is a replacement.

So I think if we sold Eriksen GLC or BF will come in.

Still not good enough as I think we needed either GLC or BF with Eriksen to have a good squad to rotate with.

Herc- as always, thanks for info good, bad and neutral. Gutted to hear about CE esp without confirmed incomings. And if the surprise pick is dependent on CP picking a couple of players, well, that sounds difficult to do in such a tight window. The least confidence building line was " Daniel Levy, and ENIC as a whole need to FIX this before window closes" . while i admire that they have built a stable business with a good long term platform, this window is a bit different than the average one given the last two windows and what appears to be a resurgent MU and Arse. This was a window to cement the position in the top four, not put ourselves in a position to fight for it.

So i'll take the advice of all the ITK's and attempt to relax for the next two days as it sounds that there are quite a few moving pieces including ones we don't know about. Guess this angst comes with the territory of being a Spurs fan.
