Like that line up. Deki has been more of a Madders replacement as a 10, he’s more spontaneous than Gio who seems more of an 8 in this set up now that we’ve seen him for a few games. I’d like to have seen Deki and Gio as that worked really well vs Villa, but think we will really need Sarr’s legs in the engine room today

Anyone else tired with the naivete and the Ardiles line-ups? Four wingers and all? No? I'll grab my coat.

I must have been imagining all those games where he looked half arsed :D

The bloke is a good player when he wants to be but I question his consistency and especially his minerals when the going gets tough. Open to him proving me wrong, he's made a start at it but for me, he's nowhere near changing my mind...........not yet.
Good points well made.

I'm looking for signs that Bissouma is finding his confidence and/or form again but so far he still looks a little off. When we see him taking a touch and surging past a player like he was earlier in the season I think that'll be a good sign. Not that i've watched every minute of him since he returned
Yeah he's been way off it since his red card really.

But maybe playing with Sarr let's him do his best work.

Or maybe he's an absolute shiter.

Such is the excitement of Spurs fandom!

Just to show you how far Richarlison’s star has fallen. I’m in Brazil atm visiting family and when my cousins (who I have converted to Spurs fans) saw the line up they literally all collectively groaned at seeing him there.

I told them he will prove them wrong today!!

COYS and COYRicharlison lol

Have a feeling it will in reality feel a bit more like 4-2-2-2 with Deki pushing wide right and Son/Johnson/Richy all floating between two CFs and LW position. Can see that causing Newcastle a bit of bother, especially as their backline isn't the quickest and gets exposed with movement up front. Everton tore them apart playing similarly last week.

I'm paraphrasing but the commentator just said "a depleted Newcastle side against a Tottenham side where the wheels might be falling off".

Hopefully gives us the ability to break quicker from midfield and removes the blind alley running from one of the wings

Not far from the truth in either instance.

Newcastle have been playing the same XI, with virtually no subs for the last 4-5 matches.

And, since Chelsea, we are in a terrible run of form.
