2nd highest in the league for goals now, after Haaland. Back him to get at least 20 again.

150 for the club - amazing achievement. He is surely looking good for 200 now. Only three before him have achieved that.

Shame he came off. Two very deft finishes and held the line really well overall. I think with the amount of stoppage time we should have kept him on.
Ange mentioned both him and Madders were not 100% going into this match. Which is insane when they were still performing so well in a NLD. High mental strength exhibited from both of them.

With one more game vs Liverpool on 9/30, strong contender for POTM for Sept (5 goals so far).

Sonny loves Spurs the way most people hoped that Kane had loved Spurs.

Kane will go down as perhaps our greatest player ever. Sonny will go down as perhaps our most beloved player ever.

His second goal just reminded me of Rafa slotting the penalty away and running behind the goals to celebrate with the spurs fans.

Perfect finish

This is turning out to be a bit like when Ronaldo left Real and Benzema became the main man.

That strike was world class. Some great goals didn't need to break the net with pace. He took it so well with such immense composure. If Messi scored that, the world will go crazy.

With him and Kane, I think we've gotten a bit blase about top quality finishers. We've just gotten used to Sonny calmly slotting them home - in contrast to Jesus and Nketia today.

The pass from Maddison was perfectly weighted.

Perfect time to release it and also knew that if he did that then we had a better chance of tucking it away.

Weight of the pass was critical, sonny didn't even need to break stride for it. Clinical from both 👌

The pass from Maddison was perfectly weighted.
True, but his angle was closing. He struck it first time with his right foot with accuracy and timing. Some may have shift to their right and hit on their left instep to add some spin. But Raya being fraction of a second late as the ball went past below him told me Son's split second decision was the perfect striker instinct.

Owe the man a huge apology, I said I thought he was past his best and on the decline but he's been brilliant since switching to the #9 this season. The guy is an absolute legend and a brilliant captain. Well in Sonny 👏🏼

An elite finisher. Put him in the positions and he scores goals.

I personally think he’s won’t play to much on the wing.

Definitely won’t get near Greavsie in terms of numbers but I can see him beating Bobby Smith if he signs an extension.
Amazing what a change of manager can do for form and confidence along with not having to play whilst carrying an injury.
To think I thought he was finished and we’d seen the best of him a few months ago, how wrong was I?Such a class act and a joy to watch when he’s in full flight.

Precision pass but are we taking away from Sons finish with that?

Hope not because it was still top drawer from Son also.
Who said I am taking anything away from the finish? It was perfect and the pass was perfectly placed into his path.
