We've been beyond lucky to have two players (him and Kane) where you're just not surprised to see these comically good goals, so many that you can make a compilation of ridiculous efforts, because they've practiced a specific skill to beyond the Nth degree to the point that they can just do the fantastic automatically. Sonny must have scored that cutting in banger about 15+ times for us now, OFF OF EITHER FOOT ffs.

Just hope that (sorry Richy) we keep playing Sonny up top, because he is one of the top 1-5 finishers in world football, and we need to harness that and keep feeding his shooting boots as we did the other night. Another couple for him tomorrow I fancy.

Super video, thanks for posting. Echo @robotsonic above, Son really is a supreme finisher, I'm now struggling to think of any tap-ins he's got!

And I'm only watching Spurs games with Korean commentary from now on!

It's funny with all the attention on Kane over the years Son hasn't really been in the limelight as much as he would have. He's an incredible talent. We talked about how well rounded Kane was but Son scores such variation of goals with both feet from difference angles inside and outside the box. The best number 7 we ever had?

Son thrives against teams that push up and give you space behind. He’s ineffective against teams that drop deep and put 11 men behind the ball like today

This was my concern prior to this game. I think he was always going to struggle. Also was really pointless putting so many high crosses into the box as he was never going on the end of them.

Id still start him CF against Arsenal tho as I think their tactics will suit him better.

Much better Captain than anyone would have believed. Looking at the way he leads he should probably have been captain over Lloris and Kane

Couldn't wish to have a nicer, warm and more humble ambassador for our club.

He is a true reflection of his nation.

There were so many South Koreans in the stadium yesterday they were all so proud of him.

Son has the 2nd best goals to xG ratio in the big 5 leagues since 2010 (750+ shots needed for statistical significance). He is the only player with G/xG better than Messi for players with 1000+ shots.

A former Spurs player also has the 2nd worst goals to xG ratio during this time period (lower shot threshold). Let's just say that Van Dijk knew what he was doing in the video below.

The more I hear from Son the more impressed I am with his holistic approach to captaincy. He was never chosen because of his demonstrativeness on the pitch - he's not a shouter or a tackler - but he excels at understanding the players he plays with. He's the mate who always makes sure you get in the cab home after the club.

I'll hold my hands up, I got this MASSIVELY wrong. I had it in my head he'd be way too emotional to be captain, but the relationship he has with each individual player is incredible.

I'm sorry, captain.
