Just beautiful to be led by him and Ange. Good blokes doing good things. We've been deep in the doldrums but we're finally seeing the light again.

I actually think Sonny was a bit shy and overwhelmed by being made captain at first, his speech showed his nerves and he looked nervous at Brentford on the opening day but he's slowly gotten used to the responsibility and as expected is thriving, he's not your shouty blood and thunder captain but everyone loves Sonny, he's very thoughtful, he's a model pro, he's very likeable, he's experienced and he has great positive energy all perfect traits for this young group.

So refreshing compared to the stale leadership group of Lloris, Kane, Dier and PEH.

Son, Maddison and Romero suit our club and young squad far better as a leadership group.
Of course Hugo and Kane were great players but I never ever thought either of them were inspirational leaders, Dier and PEH the same, frankly they're all quite boring and Lloris and Kane can have negative energy at times in different ways.

Anyways such a lovely touching moment from Sonny pushing Richy to the fans, this will stem from Ange's influence and also just because as you say Sonny just 'gets it'.

These small things are also what help build a seriously strong team unity that helps a team be successful.

I'll hold my hands up, I got this MASSIVELY wrong. I had it in my head he'd be way too emotional to be captain, but the relationship he has with each individual player is incredible.

I'm sorry, captain.

Love this mate tbh I wanted someone a bit younger to be our long-term captain, a Bissouma or Bentancur or Maddison but ofc Ange has got it so spot on with the combination of Son, Maddison and Romero.

Also love the 2 vice captains as it takes some pressure off Sonny and also its a squad game these days and good to have one English speaking VC and one to represent the latino and other foreign language speaking players.
