The Sarrya Toure revolution has begun,

been saying it for years, I want to see Yaya be his personal coach, such a unique build with explosive ability and Yaya leveraged it to the maximum. Sarr is going to become my favourite player, it's obvious. So happy and grateful to Ange for seeing what was right infront of him.

When we signed Dembele from Fulham, we signed a terrific midfielder, he injured his hip quite early, I think that was the closest we have had to the level of frightening midfielder that Sarr can be. Yaya was untouchable in the City midfield.

I've tried to hold the club to account the last few weeks but I also said that Levy is determined to prove his way can be successful and I believe it can, seeing Sarr finally get his chance and what he could become is exactly the type of example of how this approach can yield success. Find a couple more talents like that this summer for the slow cook and I think we're well on our way.

Now to dream that Gill gets the chance.

Yaya left for Belgium, didn't he?

Absolutely fucking diabolical that Conte wouldn't play him or Bissouma.

What's interesting is; I was going to say about how we debated the Conte rationality of; for example not playing Spence along with who you mentioned. I was lamenting about the talent that has been wasted because of the way they were managed and they mentally seemingly couldn't recover, Reguilon being another.

I suppose though, there's an argument to say that what it's yielded is revealing which players have strong mindsets as to build a team around and Sarr and Bissouma have shown a great strength of character to come through that period. Emerson also but for different reasons

Pretty sure you get "beasts" from every continent.

Let's not look for problems that aren't there.
Not looking for any problems. Studies have literally been carried out stating this I didn't make it up. Annoying that when parasite is used on here everyone is in agreement it's antisemitic but you're dismissing this. All good.

Parasite is antisemitic?

First i have heard of it.

I would label Romero as a beast.
Calling someone a gazelle is that somehow racist?
Where do you draw the line?

Lets just celebrate what Saar did yesterday and what he could become.

Let's agree to disagree on this one.

There have literally been studies that the earth is flat so i wouldn't take "studies" as some sort of gospel (hell i wouldn't even take the gospel as some sort of gospel :cautious: )

But agree, lets not derail the thread on this potentially great player.

Knowing where to draw the line is a fucking nightmare, but Stamford is not making up that it is a very real thing that black players are described as "beasts," "monsters" and similar to an extent that should make you feel uneasy if you take a step back. And it very much is in line with racist rhetoric throughout history.

I'm not advocating for banning words to describe players of certain ethnicities, but you don't have to be a dick about it, theShiznit, and purposely make yourself more stupid than you are with the likes of your gazelle-comment.

Instead, it is very much something worth being mindful of since people have negative reactions to those kinds of descriptions.

Other than that, Sarr was indeed amazing yesterday!

Please let's stop referring to black players as beasts. Happens all the time on here.

I first started hearing from fifa FUT about all races of players, nothing wrong with calling a player a beast, it’s a compliment, if you don’t want to use it that’s you but don’t be telling other people what not to say.

I don't think any negative intention was meant but I do understand why people hate those comparisons essentially to animals. We could go into way too much depth on that but I'm thinking, let's keep it simple and if we're a bit more specific then it adds clarity to our intentions and hopefully puts people's mind at ease.

I'm aware of the sensitivity in comparing players but I still wish to compare Sarr and Yaya Toure because Yaya is my favourite non-Spurs player but I fear being accused of "Oh they're all the same to you". I don't want to feel like shit about myself from that kind of accusation so try to be specific to explain why I compare them. Has nothing to do with skin colour and everything to do with a very unique body type in football, that is tall, skinny but strong and explosive and then they share similar ability in freekick and eventually we will see Sarr introduce his passing and shooting range once he feels he can take risks.

I hope I don't come across as a dick in this post, I just see a problem that I dread coming up and I'm sharing my solution.
