Less positive than others on this - unsure why people are so convinced it’s not just Levy exploiting an opportunity to sign an undervalued player.

Not HG (particularly important after we went for Vicario), promising but not actually that young, and in the same position as Gil who I believe has a far higher ceiling. Hope I’m horribly wrong of course.

Wouldn't say Gil has a higher ceiling at all tbh.

Solomon looks like a much better dribbler/goal threat from what I've seen.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if this means we sell Gil back to Spain.

Interesting fact - pretty sure I read Ange is very knowledgable about leagues across the world and also very keen to be involved in transfers.

Liel Abada, who Celtic signed under Ange, was picked up from Maccabi Petah Tikva, the same team Solomon used to play for. Clearly he was initially a club target but the optimist in me says Ange knows a lot about Solomon and therefore happy with him as a target.

I hope we don't sell Gil because I think we're an attacker short without him (and I don't see us replacing him).

I think maybe because we think that Ange isn't the type to put up with too much interference but at the same time, is open to working with anyone.
This signing feels to have Ange's stamp all over it. A young and potentially exciting talent who just needs a bit of guidance to have that talent unlocked.

And as a freebie, even if it doesn't work, we've not lost anything.

A few have expressed concern about him not being good enough yet and some aspects of his game that need work.

I dont see this as a bit problem.

Martinelli was very raw when Arsenal took him on and has gradually improved over time due to coaching and minutes.

He hasnt been signed as a starter or player we have to rely on. But a player that can be worked on. Even if he improves 10% of his game then thatll be a good signing.

The alternative is we spend 30m+ on a back up who has to push Richarlison or Son out of the team which may cause headaches. Big players tend to need to be guaranteed starts and come in firing.

Look at Richarlison 60m and took a while to get a start. Disrupting his rhythm and confidence. Far better signing a player on their way up who you can mould into the system.

Dont judge this signing under the scenario of Conte as coach. Judge under a coach who will work on players abilities and look to improve them.

This signing under Conte would have been a waste as he wouldnt have given them a chance. Ange will give him 20 or 30 mins from time to show his worth.

I do quite like that if you look at the bench as it’s shaping up, lots of players who will be keen to make an impact if brought on around 60. Richarlison, Gil, Solomon, Devine, Skipp, Sarr, Porro/Emerson/Spence etc. Of course some will go but it’s still a good position to be in.

Looks like a player to throw on at 70 minutes as an impact sub if losing, or to occupy the opposition and disrupt their attacking when on top. Tired teams won’t enjoy playing against this kid at all. I like this kind of signing.

It’s more i suppose they are looking to replace moura ans danjuma

will it be manor and one more or will someone like Gil take that role?
I think Ange may want to take a look at Bryan, so if we do move for another attacking player, it may not happen til later in the window.

With Solomon able to play both sides, we've got to get the defence sorted next.

Ally G mentioned Ange wants different types of wingers so as to pose different questions/change things up. Hopefully he’s that and can make an impact from the bench

It's actually quite surprising how much he reminds me of Hazard from the few clips I've seen.

He seems like the perfect Ange winger with his dribbling qualities.

Let's hope he can become more consistent surrounded by better players.
His size and dribbling style is definitely akin to Hazard. Let’s hope he turns out as good before he went on the donut diet in Madrid!

Go back to his Shakhtar comps or check out his international matches for Israel, you'll count another 10-20 assists that he should have had if his teammates could finish. I think everyone has seen his Fulham highlights and impressed, but in limited time.

If Ange is as ruthless as I've been reading, I really think Son's place could be in danger if he doesn't up his form for this season. I don't see that as a bad thing, because I think Solomon is good enough and a threat that Son will have to raise his game and if not, we have a like for like replacement rather than a hybrid in Richarlison.

We’ve needed a player like this in our squad for a while now. As an option he’s going to be super valuable, a lot of our wide forwards have been very similar over the past few years and he’ll help with the pace issue we have in the squad too

How big a star is he in Israel @israyid ? Is he any close to Son level for South Korea for example for Israeli fans?

I think this is a great signing.

Looks a superb player with the ball at his feet and has that very rare trait of being able to take on players with skill, pace and accuracy!

I imagine AP will be thrilled at this signing as it’s exactly the type of player he likes out wide.
