You asked to e question. You had multiple reasonable answers. And you still don’t get it. The football we are playing now is an absolute million miles away from what we weee playing. And has been since. That’s the whole point of it. Paying fans want to be entertained. Football is a rivalry. And you want to play better football than your peers and nearest rivals. Not play the relegation threatened type football we’ve been playing for the last 3-4 years.
What does the football we play bear relevance to the response.

What don't I get? I'm on my way back from the game.

I don't care about fandom and nonsense banter. I've been to over 300 premier league games and I don't understand rivalry? Seriously?

I'm hoping the season comes to an end extremely quickly, and we appoint a manager -mainly because I can't bear to hear any more circular arguments about Conte's / Stellini's playing style/ how Poch was/is our saviour versus every other manager we have had since/ why he does/does not need to come back.........

It makes the Next Manager search hyper thread last summer seem a balanced, calm and a happy place in comparison.....

Jokes on you - that thread was actually two summers ago - supporting Spurs just makes it seem like last summer...

Probably cos you're arguing semantics mate. If the original post said we used to play fantastic football and levy hired 3 mood hoovers to suck the life out of us and play turgid football that would be true.

The envy of everyone may have been slight hyperbole But the point still stands

I believe I can help you. The season will officially come to an end on 28 May.

It’s kind of the whole point of football? If you don’t enjoy beating your rivals. Football seems a little immaterial to me?

My response was that a lot of people were saying that we'd be battered by Brighton. We were terrible, yet won.

If you think spurs were the envy of everyone, it's not really true. Most dismissed us as a blip. Which is right.

We need a manager in asap to start motivating and coaching these players. The performances are just hopeless right now. There’s no energy and no intent. We attack with such cluelessness and lack of effort. We’re so easy to play against because players can’t press or press properly. We look nervous passing out from the back but then we just give them back the ball by kicking it long. The Jose, Nuno, Conte years has completely destroyed any attacking ability but without even giving us defensive stability. We need a guy in so day 1 of training can start drilling into the players how to keep the ball and how to pin sides back, how to quickly win the ball back, how to create chances. It was a good win but every game I go to it shines a light on how in desperate need us the fans are for an attacking high intensity manager.

No, I like beating our rivals, but the banter element is purely moronic fuel.

The fact is that a lot of people said we'd get beat. We didn't. The result reflected form.
