The angle in these highlights show Bentancur gets the ball. Not sure why MOTD think differently?
Can’t wait for ref watch on sky today. He never says the ref was wrong.

I agree he didn't change it back to 3atb quick enough but he was trying. Im pretty sure Perisic was on the touch line waiting to come on when they scored the 2ndYet the 4-2-4 was a major part in getting us back in the game. It opened the game up and created chaos in a game that was too orderly.
However, I thought Conte made a major mistake not fixing that after it went 1-1. In any case it's likely we will see it again, Conte did as much as say so in his press conference. But it's a system we need to learn.
Really poor performance but I always felt that we just needed to get a point as that's all that matters.
Later in the season that will be useful as we will improve and Chelsea won't dominate us again at WHL.
I never felt Chelsea would fade like some thought. so a point is actually a great result because they will be up there and you want to be ensuring you don't lose whilst performances are lacking.
As others have stated, Conte will change that 11 by the end of the season.
Thought Richarlison made a massive difference and showed why we signed him.
As great as Sonny is, he isn't a pest. If you are under pressure and can't play out, you need someone who can bother and disrupt. Sonny isn't that guy, he will cause concern for the counter but if the opposition are dealing with it, you need to unsettle them.
Richarlison will be very useful at this
It's my opinion that if an opposition goes out of its way to stop Sonny, its possible to shut him down. He needs a bit of space to really shine imo .Son has always ran hot and cold. He often has matches where he looks totally anonymous and then scores in streaks.
Absolutely. He has to get with the programme, Conte has to work on him.I thought our dreadful lack of any pressure on their back line was our biggest problem. They constantly got the ball to Jorginho who was the extra man in midfield and it all stemmed from there. Bentancur and Hojbjerg were given a pretty much impossible task, made even worse by the heat. As soon as Richarlison came on and started putting himself about up top, we got more of a foothold and took the game to them. Kane obviously has to play, but his lack of any effective pressing is a continuing issue.
Absolutely no way Conte's red card is being overturned. We all saw what and how it all happened. All we have to do is watch, it's there for all to see. After the final whistle, despite the pair having to be physically restrained from punching each others lights out, Conte offered his hand as part of the managers etiquette probably despite still being angry at the way Tuchel had conducted himself at half time..., but Tuchel being the classless **** that he clearly is, refused to release the hand and angrily yanked it back as the two started shouting at each other again, bringing the two camps rushing in to stop things developing again.
We MUST appeal that red card. The evidence is there for everyone to study and see for themselves. Conte was completely innocent of any wrong doing, simply trying to do the professional thing, and the ref gave both red cards probably because he thought he had to but I'm not even sure he saw the events as they happened.
They played us off the park for the vast majority of the game. The pleasing aspect is we hung in there and stole that point at the death. The fact they were so incensed made our thievery all the funnier.Caught highlights... Chelsea always raise their game against us, but I love that we completely rattled them. It seems to be the effect we're having on these clubs right now... From the Arsenal game last season to today. Mentally they just can't cope with us.
I think back to the opening day of the season and when Klopp quoted Pep Guardiola -
Talking about a long season ahead with the World Cup break Pep is reputed to have said -
"You can't win the Premier League in the first half of the season but you can lose it"
Once it went to VAR the only thing it could have done was sent off Romero I think. We would still have got the corner. Nothing really they can complain about.I know Romero pulled cucsrellas hair but I'm not sure VAR got anything wrong, the ref obviously decided they were both guilty of a bit of pushing and shoving and it had no bearing on the goal so it's not var's job to overturn the ref's decision. I thought they may have been looking for violent conduct which there clearly wasn't.
To have disallowed a goal for that would have been wrong and being in the last minute would have been an absolute disgrace. If referees are being a bit more accommodating this season then I'm pleased even though no doubt at some point it will be us complaining.
As far as I’m aware, once it went to VAR they could only send him off not give a free kick. With VAR and rule changes every summer I get confused with one or two. If they did sent Romero off, would it not have continued as a corner any way as the ball wasn't in play? Or would they have give a free kick? Because if the corner continues then he wasn't involved in the goal and it matters not.
I do think he was very lucky though with that being said.
Also do we know how long Conte is suspended for if we don't appeal or it isn't overturned?

Yes and it wasn't a sending off offence.Once it went to VAR the only thing it could have done was sent off Romero I think. We would still have got the corner. Nothing really they can complain about.
You’d think so.Tuchel’s words about the ref must bring about further punishment surely? He basically accused him of doing everything he could to make sure they didn’t win and questioned his integrity. They usually don’t look well on those kind of comments and he should get a ban or fine.
