Sorry disagree. I love hearing him talk. Always very honest and open with his comments. Also a very good manager, very tactically astute. You just hate him because he’s Chelsea’s manager. If he was ours you’d live him.
Bang on. Tuchel is a good lad. Way prefer him to Klopp, Pep etc

Utd won many titles with a performance like we put in today. Smash and grab point. We learn and move on
Agree... and also by acting dirty once in a while... like many other top teams have done in the past. Chelsea should shut up really...

A lot of South American players have wrestler like nicknames so I’m going to start calling Romero ‘El Bastardo’

I hope everyone’s ok with that.

How many clear cut chances did Chelsea create?

Havertz forced a good save from Lloris in the first half, in the second half James scored and Havertz missed a tap in.

We were poor for large parts of the game, they were better but they didn't deserve to win.

You need to put teams away when your in control and they didn't do that.

Tuchel is angry at his team more than anything else.

Tbf Havertz and Sterling both missed absolute sitters in the second half

Some of the posts in here at half time were just absolutely shocking. Tuchel set up his team brilliantly to nullify us. Our game plan is obvious and Tuchel (unlike Pep and Klopp) is willing to adapt his game plan to shut us down. The good news is that few teams have the ability to set up like Chelsea did today. Reece James was the best player on the pitch by a mile and he was able to both shut down Son and overload Sess. Jorginho and Kante were incredible for the first 60 mins and we couldn't get close to them with our tactical set up. Thiago Silva and Koulibaly were both so good at coming through the back of Kane and Deki without getting called for it. Despite how well Chelsea played and Tuchel's spot on tactics, the only goal we gave up before the tactical switch was an absolute screamer from a CB on a corner. 9/10 times Koulibaly misses that shot. We were too sloppy when we had the chance to break, but frankly Chelsea's press was well-executed and sufficating. There was just no margin for error and we kept hitting slightly errant balls or taking too long.

The better news is that Conte was willing to change things up AND we had depth on the bench to make those changes. Once Richie came on the game opened up for both sides. Mendy ended up making as many good saves as Lloris did. We probably got lucky with the no-call on the Bentancur tackle (though I think they got lucky with the no call against Deki on their goal), and Romero could have cost us with the stupid hair tug (though I thoroughly stand by the assertion that hair that long is asking to be pulled ...).

So far this season we have played two teams that had our number tactically last year. Hasenhuttl and Tuchel both out thought Conte last year. Chelsea beat us 4 times and we got a draw and a loss against Soton. We're 4 points better off than last year already. Sure the first half was frustrating, but I personally see real progress from last year. We had a real plan B today - in the recent past we've barely had a plan A. Too many folks on here yell too much about Conte not starting our fancy new toys and trying to blame certain scapegoats for a bad tactical set up.

I haven't seen the game yet, just caught up with SSN. When Richarlison came on what formation did we change to?

I mean we was bad! And probably didn’t deserve anything! But it’s a good sign we can get a decent point when we’ve been so bad.

I am hoping this result will give us confidence going forward and ignite that something extra the successful teams seem to have. We struggled throughout the game but our team spirit got us the draw. Unfortunately I think the game also showed the limitations of a few players particularly Davies and Sessegon. Both tried their best but were exposed numerous times during the game. Sessegon seems unable to go past a man and that really limits his ability to contribute when we are attacking.
To be honest the problem is they were exposed. When you are forced to defend for that long in your own half you could be maldini but you inevitably will make mistakes.

That's the rules now - if it's a draw, managers go at each other and if one can knock the other out before the ref gets there, they're technically the winners

Y'know, the more I think about this, the more it makes sense. It'd make games so much more exciting - imagine every manager telling their teams to play for the draw against Everton, so we could have a montage video at the end of the season of Lampard getting sparked out over, and over, and over again.
