Interesting I thought Sess dominated him, think we should be aiming for better than Aarons.I liked what I see in max arons , we must replace Doherty

Same. Saw nothing off him that was impressive. Williams (although is a twat) looked a lot better at left back.Interesting I thought Sess dominated him, think we should be aiming for better than Aarons.
RWB definitely looks a priority for a proper competitor with Emerson. Lavinier has looked good for our u23s but unsure if he's going to be quite the level, would rather we tried him over Doherty at this point. Lamptey would be ideal but just don't see him coming without it being a massive fee.
My top picks would be:
Youcef Atal - 25 - Nice - £15m - both footed, very skillfull and excellent with the ball.
vid comp:
Wilfried Singo - 20 - Torino - £10m - Strong ball carrier with good end product.
vid comp:
Nahitan Nandez - 25 - Cagliari - £20m - We were linked with him in the summer, very versatile who can play in midfield (central or right) but also played RWB. Technically excellent with amazing engine.

i'll add jeremie frimpong to the list. quite similar to lamptey but should be more affordable, hg too.
he's not the only player at leverkusen i'd be looking at either to be fair.
I like Emerson too, think he will be much more potent for us once teammates really start utilising him as he's often in good space and/or making good runs that go to waste as we aren't playing it to him.As a Fifa player, I think Atal would be a very good signing. Get him in.
In all honesty, I don't think RWB is a pressing concern currently, Royal / Tanganga / Doherty should be enough to see us until end of the season, then we can assess whehether the 3 of them are upto it. I think Royal will be really good for us.

Agree what about stevieI'd prefer a more offensive RWB tbh. He's one of the 5 attackers in Conte's system, he needs to provide a threat. Rather convert a winger with a good engine than trying to make a fullback better in attack. Way easier trying to learn to defend to a minimum than attack.
I think we should prioritise a wingback who can play on both sides in the short term, because I have no faith at all that Sessegnon will be a decent backup. We need players who are quick and importantly good dribblers and ball carriers to play wing back.
At the moment we have Emerson and Doherty on the right who lack the speed and dribbling ability to go past players and go down the outside.
It is vital we have outlets who can stretch the opposition and get beyond them out wide too.
Sess and Reggie are more coachable in this respect so we should definitely prioritise a RWB imo.
The likes of Lamptey, Frimpong and Singo look good bets in this respect.
Ridle Baku is another we should be looking at.

Tanganga is at least great defensively, particularly one vs one.

As Conte recently said he wants two players for each position, and also stated that he see's Rodon as a CB and not a RCB or LCB, it made me think how he sees the overall squad, and where he will see gaps that need addressing. I have based the below on where Conte has used players to date, and how many minutes they have had. The only positions we do not have obvious back-up for are LCB and CF, and for this reason I think these will be the priorities in January. It also suggests that Ndombele and Dele are surplus, and there seems no obvious place for Tanganga.
GK: LLoris [Gollini]
RCB: Romero [Sanchez]
CB: Dier [Rodon]
LCB: Davies [TBD]
RWB: Emerson [Doherty]
LWB: Reguilon [Sessegnon]
CM: Skipp [Winks]
CM: Højbjerg [Lo Celso]
RWF: Moura [Gil]
LWF: Son [Bergwijn]
CF: Kane [TBD]
Assuming we fill the two obvious gaps in January, I'd imagine we'll then look at strengthening our three or four weakest positions in the summer - for me RWB, CB, CM and RWF stand out as those weaknesses.

Tanganga is no wing back though, not in the slightest.
One of the most important aspects of a wing back is being effective offensively, particularly in the 3-4-3 as so much of the creativity comes down to how much the wing backs can produce on the ball.
Tanganga is a CB who can cover as a defensive RB at a push. But to play him wing back is a no go, he just doesn't have the traits or instincts to play there.
It seems to me that Conte feels like he can work with Sessegnon so I would be patient with our left hand side. The right needs urgent surgery though.
I like your rationale, January is more of a window of opportunity and I don't see us landing the ideal secondary striker until the summer and think Bergwijn / Scarlett will be the cover until then.
On your list, I'd suggest GLC is considered more as RWF cover and Ndombele CM, Bergwijn CF and Gil LWF. Dele does seem the odd man out somewhat as has been his problem for some time.
Think our outgoings may determine our immediate incomings.
