He has the chance to compete with Reguilon for that LWB spot.

Conte turned Moses into a good wing-back, so there's no reason why he can't do that with Sessegnon.
Yea he has everything to be a LWB, I think he needs to bulk up a bit and also needs some confidence as when I've seen him play maybe its because he's had injuries and hasn't had a consistent run of games but to me he's never looked confident. He has some ability, you don't perform at the age he did as a star in a tough physical league like the championship if you have no talent.

Wouldn't write him off just yet, think the loan will have done him good.

Is he still injured though?

Is it me or is this guy always injured? Good opportunity for him to compete with Conte going straight for his favourite system.

Very ambiguous, his injury is a knock

I would like some clarity as to what exactly he’s dealing with. Reguilon can’t play every game, especially not in Conte’s system.

Herc said he has muscle issues from rushing back previously, so I’d expect Sess to be taking his time and making sure he puts them behind him.

So unlucky with injuries so far - he definitely has talent and could be perfect in Conte's system but who knows if he will ever be fit enough to get a shot at it.

That’s the big if isn’t it. He could be a really good option for us on the left. IF.

Even Doherty looked ok as a left sided WB in Conte's system, Sessegnon would profit a lot from it obviously if he can stay healthy.

I know he's been poor for us so far but Doherty was one of the best wingbacks in the league not long ago. Sessegnon has never had any sort of extended run of quality performances at this level.

Sessegnon was great for Hoffenheim only last year, playing as a WB.

If he can get fit I think he will be our No 1. His already game is no worse than this version of Reguilon and most importantly in this system he knows where the goal is.

If he ends up being as good as Anderton then I will be happy. It was only recently that Hugo beat his record for most premier league appearances for us.

Glad you took the time to shut down the unbelievably lazy & once again clueless suggestion that Anderton was never available.

You'll be doing it again next week with the same person.

Yes indeed he's got a long way to go. Darren Anderton 299 appearances, Ryan Sessegnon 6 appearances.

Sorry but come on. Just look at the facts
299 apps was a club record, but over a 12 year period.
On average that’s 25 per season (when we averaged 45 games per season)
In his last 9 years at spurs he only played more than 26 times in a single season twice.
This isn’t to denigrate Anderton’s quality- he was amazing and incredibly loyal too (shamefully didn’t get a testimonial either).
The sicknote tag is a sad way to be remembered but you can’t say he was an ever present because it’s just not true.
For comparison, luka modric played 127 times in a 4 year period. If he’d have stayed as long as anderton he might have broken 400 apps.
