The whole team including Bale look better when Reguillon and Aurier play.

We cannot play Davies and Doherty as there is no pace and we just get constantly pinned back by the opposition. Any team in the league can do it to them. I am not sure why Mourinho cannot see it.

We looked so good against Burnley because we played with width and couldn't be pushed up against due to the pace of the full backs.

Hopefully against Palace back to Aurier and Reggy and i am sure we will see 3 or more goals again.
I believe he knows this. But is pushed into a gamble what games to play them. As the last thing we need is injuries to our key players. Many don’t see that though, and as I saw on the match thread, and elsewhere, it inadvertently seems it was Mourinho who gave instructions for our 2nd half performance.

We have to use Davies and Doherty with the amount of games. It's far from ideal but has to be done.

No problem with that. Doherty can (allegedly) be good going forward though so the lopsided FB setup is probably what Mourinho was hoping for.
I’m not so sure on Doherty being good going forward. His crossing isn’t that great and his choices of when to cross are appalling. Last night Bale passed the ball to Doherty who was in space and could whip the ball in straight away. But no he fucks around and we end up losing momentum and the ball. If you are the strikers you will not make the runs because you never get the ball being crossed. So frustrating. Too many of our players do not have any idea what they are going to do with the ball when it comes to them even though they ask for it. As well as Doherty; Davies, Winks and Sissoko comes to mind. Then when they receive it they pass it back....even if there is nobody in front of them FFS

I agree, but it's all stuff that should be improved on the training pitch until it becomes second nature. Reguillon is the only fullback we have who can be relied on to get a decent ball into the box. All the others are hit and miss at best and completely hopeless the rest of the time.

Yeah I saw that and shouted “ why didn’t you whip it in first time? There was absolutely no reason not to!”

When they panned to him on the bench in the last 10mins you could see he was just as nervous as the rest of us. He really does truly love playing for us. Can’t wait to see him turn up against the goons.

Thought he looked cold

Aye think he deserves to still be at the club next season, just hope his current form doesn't mean the likes of Man Utd start sniffing around him.

Another know what the loan situation with him is for next season

Even if man United did come in for him which I think is unlikely, I’m 90% sure he would choose us.
He’s settled here and think it was trix who said he may be off to the US after next season so why more upheaval

The social media team were a few months premature with the Bale is Back hashtag.

But today, I can declare, he fucking is.

His attacking instincts in the box are world class. That header is all about attacking the ball. It must be an absolute nightmare for defenders having Bale, Kane and Son to deal with now.
