Rashford was going nowhere down the left tonight. Why not swap him over and see how he got on against the other fullback. Just kept repeating the same mistakes again and again. And then started lumping Long. Fucking Sunday league standard management.

I'm a little bit concerned that he has hit his ceiling already, hasn't really progressed much since his Utd breakthrough.

Feel a bit sorry for Southgate though. Injuries to Sterling, Kane, Winks, Chilwell, Dier, the Covid issues for Abraham, and Sancho, Trippier withdrawn for betting issues but Maguire's fit and healthy to play.

‪It’s funny how the World Cup semis in 2018 will and have make more bad than good for England. Southgate will have that as a leverage for so long even tho he’s so out of his depth, there’s so many better managers out there. This generation of players who are very good especially in attack will be wasted now. The 2018 run was so overhyped, they created 1.83 xG in open play the whole tournament, that’s so low. And most of them was from open headers, take them out + Kane lucky third goal vs Panama and England created 1.05 xG the whole tournament! That’s shocking ‬

‪And it’s the same now they create nothing from open play, even worse now he sets up with 7 defensive players ‬

‪Great article from Grace Robertson after the World Cup 2018

I’m not sure. Others have suggested Wenger, Poch is available. Redknapp would probably take the job if offered too.

Southgate makes his own problems. He clearly doesn’t trust his defenders does he, he can’t if he’s playing 5 at the back with 2 DMs but then he picks the most out of form defender in world football and sticks with him. Why not drop him for Mings? White? Mee etc. We aren’t short of basic central defenders.

He’s gifted with some of the best attacking players England have ever had, but he squanders them in favour of playing it safe. If we were playing quality opposition I could almost understand, but against bang average teams like Wales and Denmark? Do we really need to be THIS negative? The players we have we should be embarrassing these teams.

I have seen nothing in my whole lifetime from England that allows for these kind of statements.

I can't blame a single player. Nothing made sense about the team or tactics, and teams need combinations and partnerships to click.

Someone said earlier, we've been lucky to get this far without an embarrassment in the last few games.

That said, it's stupid scheduling and I imagine most of the squad that remained already had half an eye on the weekend...

Time to ditch the milk toast Southgate, negative and pragmatic tactics are wasting some of the most exciting talent we have had for a long time

The guy was already on the floor and had lost balance and the ball before any contact was made though.
This might be true and I certainly thought it was baffling at first but Walker swipes and misses the ball and catches the player. It’s soft but I can see why it was given having thought it was a howler at first

7 defensive minded players and a creative midfielder picked because he's better at pressing than passing. In a home game against Hojbjerg, Eriksen and 8 fishermen is a joke I liked Southgate he was a positive manager when he arrived but why would Kane want to waste his time playing in that team with 0 creativity or support. Our attacking players are our best players put them on the pitch Southgate you clown.

Turgid, just like the Belgium game.

England are really short in central midfield. Rice, Phillips, Henderson and Winks are varying degrees of meh. Rice in particular is the most overrated player in the world. Just plods around and makes the odd tackle that gets the pundits raving.

Loved the long ball all second half. Tactical genius.

We’ve got a decent talent pool of creative options but have no confidence in Southgate picking or right combo or even picking them at all.

Apparently Man Utd fans have start a petition for McGuire's ban to be carried over to the premier league and extended to three games. :)

I can see where he catches the player, I'm saying I think the other factors make it for me, not a penalty. Incredibly soft as you say.

I wonder if I am alone in thinking that Grealish should have been on from the start because we know if you give Kane chances he will score he was starved of service with the most creative player sitting on his bum .
Still dont worry 15th November and we play three more internationals as the FA in their wisdom have decided to find someone to take the place of New Zealand who have dropped out .So lots of chances to get players injured and wacked out .
