Have they got too many association trained?
2. Association-trained players – players who were on another club's books in the same association for three years between the ages of 15 and 21. No club can have more than four association-trained players among their eight nominees on List A.
maybe that’s it. Maguire, Wan Bissaka, Lee Grant and luke shaw are on their list and that would be 4 association trained.

Chill dude.Hasn't it clicked yet.
Daniel James is NOT association trained. The reason he is not on their association trained list is because he is NOT association trained.
The reason they have had to name 37 year old Lee Grant as association trained is because he is, and no other player not named fits into that category.
If James qualified as Association trained do you not think they would have named him in that position and therefore named Sergio Romero as a goalkeeper instead of Lee Grant in their squad ?
Players from Swansea are not Association trained, the rules have not changed, stop dragging this bullshit out. Joe Rodon does NOT qualify as association trained if he joins an English club for European club competition purposes, exactly the same as Ben Davies, and exactly the same as any other player that was not playing for a team registered with the English Association (and no, Swansea are NOT registered with the English FA)

Worse, he's an ex ref!Are you in Health & Safety by any chance?
Sorry, but he just keeps dragging it out, over and over again, and it is completely false, just because someone totally misrepresented/misunderstood a change of administrative procedures story from 9 years ago, which had been shot down by numerous people.

Joe Rodon bid prepared as Tottenham consider loaning him back
Wales and Swansea defender Joe Rodon continues to be in the transfer headlineswww.walesonline.co.uk
Makes the most sense to loan him back
We need one more CB now
I think we needed a starting CB (Skriniar ect) whilst I think we should sign him, I think loaning him back is the best option. We have Toby Sanchez dier tanganga and davies can fill in.We need one more CB now

It’s easy to forget how young CCV is, he’s actually two months Rodon’s junior. I actually think he’d get into a fair few premiership defence from what I’ve seen, the never mind Championship. I just think that we might see Rodon as the better bet long term because he’s more in keeping with that Laporte/ Pique modern centre backs of being very rangy and aerially dominant but with ease on the ball and a good passing range. He could probably pair nicely with any of our current centre backs, and if Tanganga is viewed as a long term starter then someone with that height could make up for JTs shortcomings in this area. A Pique and Puyol partnership in the making. It makes more sense to keep CCV for the first half of the season because he can play in the Europa League and league cup which are the games where we will need to rotate our defenders. He is more than good enough to play against all our group opponents.
If we absolutely believe Rodon has elite level potential we should sign him but this is a good opportunity to look at Carter-Vickers also.
If you compare Rodon and CCV on whoscored last season Rodon had an average score of 6.94 and CCV on loan at Luton had a rating of 6.93. This may mean nothing of course but it does show Carter-Vickers is a decent player in his own right.
