I think better is a misleading word, cause his style of play has naturally changed too.
He plays very differently now from what I've seen and how he was set up at real is different too.

I mean it's widely expected that he'll be starting on the right side of a forward three here, I don't recall that being the case much or on a regular basis when he was with us.

And not saying they're the same player but in a similar style to Ronaldo, when Ronaldo was at United he was much more of a midfielder, but then going to Real became much more attack focus and an out and out attacker and Bale has had a similar trajectory in terms of positions I'd say.

So better might not be the right word, different more so.

What others have said though which I very much agree with is he will have a better cast of characters around him. When he left, he'd have to drag us out of our AVB turgid-ness to get us some points. Now, it won't all be on him. We have Kane and Son for moments of magic, with Lo Celso and Ndombele to give us some magic in midfield, and that's not even mentioning the other players we can have who can truly affect the game now and take the burden off of Bale.

Um, no he's not.

31 goals, and more than half of them were scored from outside of the box. He single-handedly almost dragged an extremely mediocre Spurs team into the top 4 by pulling all these unbelievable goals out of nowhere.

He got 31 goals because he had to do everything himself.... do you honestly believe playing for Madrid with the best players in the world has made him a worse player just because he had to share the limelight and not be the main focus of every attack.

Not sure he'll be better, but I think he'll be a smarter player to the one we sold to Madrid. He'll have to learn to adapt his game because let's be honest I can't see him doing many 80-90 yard sprints these days.

Not sure what his assist tally for Madrid was like, but I think him, Son and Kane will all be assisting and scoring their fair share once they click.

Fucking excited.

He's a different player to the one that left us.
He may not have the energy to run up and down the pitch like a lunatic anymore but he's certainly developed his game in other areas.
He's more clever now, and to be honest is a different player to the one that left but that's not to say he's worse.
He'll still take players on, use tricks and skills and will never lose his striking ability.
The only thing he's lost is his stamina but his game has evolved to adapt to that.

For Madrid it was very much about getting the goals but he did assist a decent amount in his time there

I know Madrid score a lot of goals but given he was used as a sub a hell of a lot, 173 goal contributions in 251 appearances is outstanding.
He is going to tear it up once he's back and fit.

When all fit and firing i'd not swap Son, Kane, Bale for any front 3 in the world, I genuinely wouldn't, they're a perfect combination of pace, power, guile, creativity and finishing, if they can all stay fit from after the international game for the whole season we have as good a chance at the PL as anyone this season and if not then certainly at winning a cup.

He’s more experienced, without doubt. Is he better, still at Madrid level? We’ll have to wait and see. Can’t wait.

No one says that. And maybe he was a more complete player at his peak at Madrid. But the last two seasons he started to regress a bit in a few parts of his game what also shows in his numbers. You could argue its about lack of trust and motivation, but maybe all the little injury worries are now paying a bit of tribute.

It is very hard to see how good he is nowadays. I just hope he stays fit and clicks with the team. There is no doubt he can produce more than Lucas/Lamela/Bergwijn so he should definitley be an upgrade. To what extent we will see. Exciting times.

Going to be fit to be involved against West Ham according to the telegraph. Just a shame we can’t actually be there to see it happen and give him a welcome. It would of been a magical moment.

That's the thing that has got to me this year, we've got in all these players along with Bale and they've not had a proper reception yet.

this short clip just goes to prove yet again how dishonest agents can be and that their real interest is looking after themselves.

He was on talksport a few months ago saying gareth bale was perfectly happy to be playing for madrid. Here he is claiming he was sad :(

He also claims that money wasn't a factor in Bale's decision to return....what about the million squid per week China deal that broke down last year? Also, to my knowledge Bale hasn't taken a pay cut to return

People lie, people 'extend' the truth, people are genuinely not honest. It's self interest or in this case bale interest. He is doing his job.

Yes I wouldn't be caught dead doing this type of job, because you have to be a grade a bullshitter to be any good at it. But it's naive to think that people are all flowers and rainbows.

Jose - son could play but I don't know (son plays 90 ripping it up)

Harry R - Rosie dog and questionable accounting

Poch - I would never manage Barca

If Barnett had come out 6 months ago and said bale is desperate to leave and to spurs.... What would real do?

This is the real world and people are dishonest to further their careers.
