It’s been said he’ll take at least a month to get match-fit, wonder if he’ll be available on sub bench straight away though to come on and give team boost if needed?

We have a lot of games in quick succession wouldn’t shock me if he played 20/30 minutes in each of them in the next 2/3 weeks

Anyway, seeing Bale and Kane standing by corner flag, arms aloft, and screaming with joy after Bale as made an exquisite outside-of-the-foot cross and Kane has volleyed it in quite literally brings tears of happiness.

It's been said he played a game and a half for Wales not long ago so he won't need a month

I think it’s high time we spoke about some really important stuff...

As our squad numbers will have already been registered with Lamela as 11, would we be allowed to change it to hand Bale his old number? Would it be okay as Lamela hasn’t made an appearance with the number yet?

Presumable Bale’s other old number, the 3, will still be available as I suspect Rose won’t have been declared in our squad...

You can normally submit a final list after transfer window closes. This year might be different given the late window close though?

Also I keep reading that Bale has a contractual obligation with sponsorship, etc to wear 11.

I‘d prefer Lamela gave 11 to Bale personally for neatness.

Regullion should get 3.

He'll take the vacant number 9 shirt surely, with Reguilon taking number 3. New striker signing will just have to find another number.

Where have you seen about the contract stuff wearing 11?

Just had a quick google and couldn’t find anything (although this very thread was included in results! ??) and Ive always been a proper squad number geek so would like a read if info is available.

I mean all of this is possible, but....

I don't think anyone is going to pay him £600k/wk - If they did Real would have sold him to them already - Bayern / PSG / City / whoever

It sounds like he's going to be on the same kind of money as Auba down the road (at least from us) - and that's probably as much as he's worth these days.

Levy will probably prefer he wear a new number anyway, so people can't just wear their old Bale #11 shirts

So for that reason alone, I now think he'll wear #9
