I'm so excited, we're actually going to have Bale back ?

I'm curious though, it seems to be a 1 year loan but does it have an option to buy at the end? Or does Bale just go back to Madrid after?

I think speculating as to the intricacies of the deal at this stage is probably fairly pointless. We'll not know until it's announced - the possibilities I've seen are:
  • One year loan no option
  • One year loan with option
  • Two year loan
  • Permanent transfer
Ultimately, it's one of those. The first one being the least likely in my opinion.

In relation to the numbers I've seen everything from we're paying 25%, 33.33%, 40%, 50%, 60%, 75% and 100%.

Let's just get him in the shirt eh?

I'm not against this transfer but is anyone else worrying that having signed Bale, Levy/JM don't think we need a striker?
I imagine if we get a striker it’ll be a cheaper one and our pecking order in terms of our attack (in cases of Kane being unavailable) will look like:

  1. Son Kane Bale
  2. Son Bale Lucas/ Bergwijn Son Bale
  3. Bergwijn Bale Lucas/ Bergwijn Son Lucas
  4. Bergwijn NewCF Lucas
If we weren’t getting Bale, then a striker who’d play with Kane a lot would be quite feasible, but I think we’re probably looking at a generic big break glass in case of emergency lump now, which is fine given that Bale and Son are probably better down the middle than 9/10 career centre forwards in the league anyway.
