I mean I'm all for Bale, as long as it's to strengthen our team no swaps please, if we do swap, say Dele, we will need someone else to come in and replace him. Be it an offensive CM or an AM, then I'd be fine with it. But if not, I worry that the 'romanticism' of Bale is clouding better judgement.

It will appease the fans, sure, but it will have issues. Bale has missed like a third of all Madrid games through injuries, and he has a lot of patchy form. I believe he still will be a fantastic player, but you can't rely on him. I want to see is clearly strengthen not to shift people around that is popular but not actually particularly a positive move.

two years ago mate. Dele's potential isn't as close to that of Bale. But you need to forget what Bale was and start thinking about what he could and couldn't be. His performances last season were abysmal, now I hope that that is just a confidence thing but he hasn't trained with Real at all. He hasn't played many games whatsoever and when players decline they decline quite quickly. For me, there is a risk here.

Even Dele's brother is still a useful player to have, Dele's brother still scores close to one in three, and is one of the league leaders in productivity for his position. Bale might play 15 games this season and do very little, because thats how it went last season. I want Bale, he is a potential game changer. But, take away the romance, and how Bale was and is in your head and you have a 31 year old who has had only a handful of decent games in 2 years.

You must have visited Glasgow at some point? The Scottish ability to weave the words ‘fuck’ and ‘****’ into sentences is an art form in itself.

Well played by Bale’s agent. Those quotes have lit a fire under Levy’s ass. He has put all the pressure on our chairman now, as he knows if this deal falls through Daniel will have hell to pay. The likes of which would be like nothing he has experienced before from the fans. Very shrewd.

Mainly niggles yes, but he misses a lot of games through these niggles.

19/20 - 10 games
18/19 - 9 games
17/18 - 14 games
16/17 - 29 games
15/16 - 15 games

I mean he is getting better, but he also hasn't been picked.

He also has a chronic problem with his left soleus.
