Well, just had to go back and remove all those "you stayed true to the noble cause" Likes I gave @Wizzy77 and @yankspurs in this thread now that they've succumbed to the dark side and changed their avatars. I hope that the signing of Bale brings you some measure of cold comfort against the knowledge that the artificial inflation that your SC ratings enjoyed this afternoon is now gone forever. :grumpy:

bale will be a loan not a purchase if it happens

Alli could go , I am not saying it will happen but it could, Madrid have asked about a few of our elite players and we said no to them but on Alli there is a discussion to be had

Regulion is tied into this

a new midfielder has entered the frame will be on loan with massive wages, not a Madrid player but is someone who has punished us previously

Bloody Hell.. surely not Sabitzer!? Dream summer window!

Getting rid of Bale for Dele could backfire spectacularly. Bale has real issues with fitness, has not had a preseason, and is 31 and quite possibly past his best. Dele is still only 24 and even though is inconsistent (So is Bale for Madrid mind you) is capable of becoming a very good player indeed and even when off form his numbers are still very solid.

I just have a feeling of dread, even if we get Bale this could go spectacularly wrong. I'd rather take a calculated risk with money and a short term contract, ideally with option to be permanent or a two year loan, rather than risk creating even less balance and unevenness to the team. A swap loan, imagining Dele is able to thrive for Real Madrid, which is more possible that some people seem to think, I mean we wont get that player back. I just feel it sounds like short term emotional thinking here, and this could go so so wrong.
Save it man. Many here had grown tired of Dele and will be even ok he's sold, all the while conveniently forgetting his stats when truly fit.

But if Mourinho really thinks this is the way forward, for both club and him, I'll support the decision.
