Without a shadow of a doubt, the most disappointing bit of Transfer business we have ever done for me if he's deciding to fuck off. Fingers crossed we make the most of it.

So we aren't selling TN, and he doesn't want to be here, great. So sounds like it will be the same with him as last season, what a waste

Not to mention that we don’t have any money for transfers.

By the end of next season Ndombele could be worth pittance unless something changes. A swap is probably our best way out of this.

Right now we have basically set fire to £65M and £200k a week at the precise moment when we have absolutely zero money.

It sounds like we are happy to part with TN if someone is prepared to offer what we think he is worth (£40m ish). However no-one will offer us that for him so he stays.

Who’s ‘They?’ Never commented on it before. Not even said it was happening. People from down there are dodgy - I should know being Cornish myself.
Spot on but I'm not from the West Country. Just live there now
Not good news about TN, had always hoped it was his entourage pushing but seems he wants out himself ☹
Jose not at all keen anyway. Was DL fighting his corner. Now he is happy to go, so now moving him on is best for all concerned.

DL wants his money back though, so that's where the issue will lie.

Yeah, but if he doesn’t want to be here and Jose isn’t interested in playing him and we also have no
money for transfers I would say that is a pretty shite situation all round.

The problem with Ndombele is everyone can see their is an issue with his attitude and that is a problem in terms of our bargainning position.

What actually concerns me is if we get another season like the last one which could obliterate his value.

Levy will want every penny back but he might have to accept some sort of loss or risk a huge problem next summer.

If Tanguy really does go, it will be a huge wage freed up, never mind even if we do not get back the amount we paid in transfer fee.

We will now sell TN!!’

Interesting. This definitely means we are in for Bale.

I kid about Bale (edit), but curious if we will actually get what we want now for Ndombele or if we are going to have to settle for a loan with a larger loan fee and some obligation to buy based on appearances or something.

Such depressing news on Tanguy. By far and away our most gifted midfielder in my opinion. Was really hoping José would want to get a tune out of him, but not surprised he doesn’t like him given the style of play.

If he really isn’t wanted by the manager then he should get out, he’ll be one of the worlds best CMs somewhere.

Only hope for getting the money for ndombele would be either a swap deal or PSG as far as I can see. Real shame as there is a talent there

Wonder if we'd consider a loan with obligation for Tanguy?
I'd be sad to see him go but only because I had high hopes for the lad. If Jose doesn't want him and doesn't believe he's got what it takes, I'm all for backing the manager.

Bale is not coming. Forget all the shit posted in the press we haven't enquired. We haven't even made any sort of contact with Bale or his people.

We have a plan for this window and it's not going to change. It's about balance and filling the squad in the right way.

DL wants his money back though, so that's where the issue will lie.

Thanks Trix

Does that mean he literally wants the same amount we paid for him back, or that amount minus the one year of depreciation? I don't know the details of the fee etc, but for arguments sake, let's say it was 50 million up front and his contract is over 5 years, from an accounting perspective, wont things balance if we got 40 million for him?

Some players are not cut out for the PL and it seems TN is one of them. Tbh with his history I’m surprised we bought him in the first place. Only reason I can think of is that Levy wanted to back Poch.

I don't think it's the Prem TN isn't cut out for, it's hard work and effort(in training at least).

Then DL is very naive.

Noy only has Ndombele showed little, we're also in the middle of a pandemic leaving clubs skint.

Don’t they go hand in hand?, especially in the PL. in France he admitted he could coast in a lot of games.

You can have all the talent in the world but if you don't have the right attitude its completely negated.

JM wants to build a hard working team with a winning mentality.

I'd assume he feels Ndombele threatens the greater good of the team in those respects. It's about the wider picture.

If we can sell now and recoup the majority of the fee, and free up those huge wages, and it goes towards players Mourinho does want I'm all for it.
