My concern with Hart is how poor he had become. Loads of saveable shots being conceded led to neither Torino nor West Ham wanting him and he's been behind two younger English gks at Burnley. But notably he was no longer seen as a safe pair of hands.

Like Robinson before him, he seems to have been mentally effected.

I agree from a HG perspective and a good character to have around that it's a good situation. Just not sure I'd be happy with Lloris getting injured and having to rely on him.

He hasn't fallen over the net and people are bickering about him.

What a signing!

I couldnt care less about this signing but do find it a strange one and im sure there are reasons behind the signing.

He is really shit though but we do need a strong squad coming into what is going to be a really tight hectic schedule throughout the season. We cant be selling anyone without replacing anyone. Vorm has gone and now got in Hart so its not the worst exchange in the world.

Is that what I was saying? Don't infer some bollocks to try and make what I said sound ridiculous. Anybody seeing us signing a goalkeeper released by Burnley as anything other than a free and home grown thing is ridiculous. I'm saying, and I'm right (as always), that a third choice goalkeeper is going to have absolutely no fucking impact on the squad's mentality and if you think he will, you're a muppet.
Personally think that if we'd signed him last summer, our third choice keeper could have made all the difference in Madrid

Proper left field this one!
As someone mentioned earlier he only got binned from Citeh because Pep didn’t think he was any good with his feet, prior to that was he that bad?
No he wasn’t and he was probably still the best English keeper in the PL even when Pep dumped him, thought he was treated pretty poorly back then in all honesty and the whole Pep media love in really done him no favours which a lot of people bought into.
Hard one though as I remember laughing hard when he went to West Ham and said that they’d signed the perfect clown for their circus....??
If Jose fancies him and thinks he can do a job then good luck to him!

If Hart becomes third choice keeper, what the hell,is the point in having ‘young’ keepers at the club? They will never have a chance.
Ignoring that they have a chance to prove themselves every day in training you need at least 3 or even 4 keepers at a club for training purposes. Players contribute much more than what they do on the field.

In any case, none of our youth keepers are likely to make it to the top. Austin and Whiteman are talented keepers who are likely to continue our very solid goalkeeper production at the club (Archer, McGee, Button and even Jansson) but I'd be shocked if they make it to the top. Goalkeeper is by far the hardest position to break through in and, in my opinion, they are not quite at that level and certainly not at 21! They might be good enough as 3rd choice, but...

Think he's more for the off the pitch mentality from his time at City as well as HG quota. Only paying wages, so can't see an issue.

from the perspective of what we need from the squad position he’ll fill, with no transfer fee and manageable wages it looks like a pretty smart signing

from the perspective of having a goalkeeper that is capable of catching the ball etc it’s probably not the smartest signing, Hart has been poor for years now and it’s shown by the number of failed moves he’s had. That being said if he can rediscover his old form (big if) and won’t be relied upon too much I don’t see anything wrong with him coming in and filling a HG spot. Seems like a good personality to have around the younger keepers also.

In my view he's an upgrade on Vorm on ability, homegrown quota and wages.

Yes he hasn't been great but the experience will have more of an impact than his limited performances in the pitch

Piss off Noddy.

So another experienced keeper will have no impact on the competition and training of our 1st team keepers. You're adamant on that?

The arrogance and narrow mindedness.

In fucking credible.

He is an awful goalkeeper simple as that

Worse than Vorm or our academy players? I know he's dropped off a bit but to have a free, HG goalkeeper of his relative young age and experience can only be good. Don't forget he's won more PL titles that our whole squad combined, that mentality is what we need at the club and it's clearly what Jose is trying to instil
