Good luck to Super Jan. Growing up in the 90s I could only dream of seeing a player of his class make >300 appearances for us. Deserved a proper send off from the fans but obviously not possible right now. Hope he adds to his Ajax medals at his next club.

How did Dier get a new contract and Jan did not. I know Dier is younger but he is such a poor player .

Jan showed this season he struggled with the PL, similar to seeing Ledley and his decline.

Dier needs to focus on one position though, which he now appears to be doing and since the restart he has performed well at centre back. He is in no way 'such a poor player'.

One of the, if not the most consistently excellent player in the most successful period we've had for a long, long time.

A genuine club legend

Him in tandem with Toby were the core to our success over the last few years. Sadly you did start to see him struggle a little with the pace of the PL towards the end but neither the less he has been nothing short of brilliant for us and should be fondly remembered

Would be a fitting half time guest when they’re finally able to reopen the stadium to its full capacity

Ended up being a great player and servant for us

When he first arrived I thought he was shakey and made plenty of mistakes but was always a Rolls Royce of a player

Around the time when we got stuffed at Man City years ago his attitude stunk for a while and there were rumours of him leaving

Then he went on to become our best defender and hardly put a foot wrong for about 2 seasons

Good luck Jan. Nearly always great to watch

A Rolls Royce of a player with added rugged Land Rover capability.

Very sad to see him leave. Go well, Super Jan.
