I know it very well. Wenger wanted to use him as emanuel petit role. But now vertonghen is 33 years old. Not 25 ... So he might do that because he has the necessary attributes..

Janetti has played cdm role at the age of 34, 35 in mourinho's treble winning inter team. Vertonghen could have done the same. May be vertonghen and hojberg could have made a solid midfield duo..

Easily one of my most beloved ever Spurs players.

Hell yeah. One of those players you just loved watching have the ball at their feet and for a CB that is highly impressive. For all of Toby’s merits he just never had that air of class that Jan has. Always surprised that he was essentially the most underrated CB in the league/Europe.

Graceful, skillful but also a hard bastard when necessary. Since I’ve been spurs my top 3 favorite players are Kane Jan and Son in that order.

I’m gonna miss you Jan ?
