Might be controversial but I'd take kane off and Ndombele on.
Son up top making runs will create space for the midfield to join in

Much better, I'm relieved I thought we might get slaughtered.
Not exactly a high class game but they are as error strewn as us
which gives us a chance.

I've always said Winks needs the right partner. Lo Celso isn't it but he's a vast improvement on Sissoko there. Winks has played a lot better as a result.
I feel Winks has hit his ceiling. Tidy on the ball but lacks any real defensive awareness. With a Wanayama type it would be interesting to see how Lo Celso and Winks would operate but Winks is really poor off the ball in my opinion.

Not a chance i'd put Sissoko back in CM.
Winks has been abject. He got embarrassed in the buildup to the chance that Aubameyang should have put away at the penalty spot, and was completely flat-footed on the goal. His positional sense and tackling ability are basically non-existent. Sissoko’s not much better positionally but at least has the athleticism to get himself out of trouble when he’s been caught out, and can put a boot in.

Spurs scoring first in the second half is huge. Need to keep the momentum going.

75% of the goals allowed under Jose have been done to individual errors or set pieces. That is terrible. (source was Last Word on Spurs)
Was just thinking the goal didn't come from anything we created.
But if you press this Arsenal defence they'll fk it up themselves. I'd put them under a bit more pressure but fear 2nd half we'll actually see the opposite.

We're going to get someone sent off here. GLC, Davies and Serge obviously the most likely. Oliver isnt letting anything go

Saka waiting to come on at some point in the second half has me worried. He's good. I hate him already but he is good and going at Davies he will have plenty of chances.

I mean it's much better than what we've previously seen, even if that has been pretty much rock bottom football. It's something to work with though and certain individuals look a lot better off.

Not saying there's nothing tactical that we could potentially be doing better but if anything just a lack of quality in certain areas are showing. At least Jose is trying something different and that something is working better than what was tried in the last game.

I’d take aurier off. He’s already on a yellow and arsenal might target him in the second half .

It’s very odd to me. It seems the last few games that we’ve let a goal in (excluding this one) when Davies’s side gets split, outside shoulder turned in, someone gets a run. This week it was Bellerin. He’s not a bad defender but it just seems consistently a gap. Typical Serge blunders. We need a major refresh, and dare I say, we miss Dier.

As for attacking and possession, we don’t seem to just take shots whether deep or shallow - which keeps the keeper and the back line stable, eliminating the mental aspect of keeping them spread. The setup is so consistent week to week which makes it seem that we have no originality considering the service seems to rely on flanks and nothing up the middle. At some point you’d have to consider moving to something with more bodies in the midfield to create some width.

Lastly, I may be in the minority, but it truly seems Harry doesn’t got much gas in the tank. I know he isn’t getting great service but at some point you have to ask yourself how much of this is him?

If Jose is smart, Ndombele plays well with Sissoko and has comfort level there as does Lo Celso and Lamela. Play that to your advantage, and most of all, Stevie is your super sub. Use it to your advantage.

So let me get this straight.

The North London Derby is on and Sky have decided to put Alan Smith in the commentary box and Sol Campbell in the studio?

Are they just trolling us or what?
Yes. With an ardent Liverpool fan to bring some balance.

Ndombele on for Aurier, sissoko to right back makes most sense to me, he’s having a shocker, also wary of LoCelso and Davies staying on giving Oliver opportunity to shaft us so sub them later, Davies getting caught for pace a few times could easily get 2nd yellow
