I was thinking that but It would be dependent on us winning all of our games and for them to have a stinker. Very unlikely.

Providing Chelsea don't win on Thursday, I think they're still catchable. 6 points with 7 games remaining isn't unattainable, especially when you consider that they still have to go to Anfield. I know Liverpool might be on the beach, but they're still a formidable side and that's a game that I'd expect Chelsea to lose.

Maybe but they have Chelsea, Arsenal, Man Utd, Sheffield, and us in their remaining games. Their only "easy" game is Bournemouth. It's entirely possible they take less than 10 points. Chelsea are 4 points behind Leicester with a game in hand, so I think Chelsea will finish above them. That would mean that we'd have to finish above Leicester to be top 4. And above Man Utd to be top 5.

We’re not finishing top four. We’re 10 points behind Leicester with 7 games to go and 6 behind Chelsea having played a game more.

Tonight was a decent enough performance and a much needed win, but let’s not forget against a rubbish team.

"10 pts behind Leicester with 7 games to go..." brings back bittersweet memories..

People forget that even if we do really, really well and win 5 of our last 7 (note: we're on 12 from 31 so far), we'll only get 60 points. If we do get CL with that (and we probably wouldn't with United's remaining games!), we've been incredibly lucky - every other year since 2007-08 it would have got you either the final Europa League Qualifying spot, the InterNoNo Cup, or nothing at all. We're benefitting from there only being 4 remotely good teams this season and one of them potentially being banned from Europe.

Good to see us atleast making a move up in table even if it means we played a game extra.
Sheffield-United game is huge. If Sheffield can get something of United, would set us up well for Spurs next game with Sheffield.

Call me crazy but I think we're right in it if City's ban is upheld for at least next year (big if I know). Chelsea should hopefully lose to City leaving us 6 behind them and they have Liverpool and Wolves to play. United have easy games remaining but one small fuck up and we are breathing down their necks. Most interestingly though in my opinion are Leicester, who are the furthest ahead of us yet have dropped 4 points to two of the bottom 6 teams in the league in the last two games and have Arsenal, United, Palace, Everton, Sheffield United and us to play. Based of their recent form post pre and post lockdown I would say it is realistic from them to drop at least a dozen points between now and the end of the season. Obviously we have to win our games but if I'm honest I'd make us favourites in every single one of our remaining matchups and don't see why we can't win at least most if not close to all of them. One issue though is Wolves and I don't see why they can't also put a serious run of form together. It will be very difficult but I've seen enough this season to suggest that other teams will drop enough points to give us a chance if we win 6/7 or even 5/7 and a draw

Its difficult for us as it stands. Chelsea wont be losing all 3 - they will get points here & there.

We got nothing to lose - Pre-Lockdown, we had no forward line and weak CM. Now, the break has helped us get back 4 key players. We got to keep it simple - we win our games and leave it for others to scrap it out.

Last 10 PL games :
Leicester 2W 4D 4L - dropping 20 out of 30 pts.
Spurs gap to Leicester -10pts

If Leicester don't arrest their form, we could sneak past them.

Leicester have some tough games ahead - Everton,Palace,Arse,AFB,Sheffield,Spurs,United.

We got to keep winning the games here on in. You never know

As long as have a strong end to the season I'll be content enough even if we don't make it into those Champions League spots. Getting one would be fantastic though.

I get the feeling it will be like last season. Three or four clubs stumbling towards the line, dropping points left and right. My hunch is Wolves will sneak 5th.

I think Man U will get it and we will finish 6th by a point or so unfortunately.

Let's not forget how difficult our remaining fixtures are and we don't have home advantage. Our toughest games aside from Chelsea were away from home and now we play at home with no crowd. Just our luck!

Sheffield United look absolutely dreadful since the restart. With that said, Man Utd look decent and their remaining fixtures are piss easy. I can’t see us finishing anywhere higher than 6th tbh

Lets just hope Chelsea implode. They’ve got a relatively difficult remaining group of matches.

Watching the Man Utd game now, the biggest difference I see is that their fullbacks are better and they are much more fluid in the attacking areas with one touch passing. Also they have Matic who is steady, strong and better than what we have in similar positions.

Crazy what happens when you play with two ball playing midfielders...
