Pity the referee did not book Pogba for diving on the first penalty .
I heard Martin Tyler saying we " got away with the second penalty " we did not " get away " with anything it was a dive by Fernandes and he got away without a booking . Still I suppose when you have Tyler / Neville / Evra / and Keane commentating and summarising and not a spurs man in sight at the Tottenham stadium what can you expect .
Personally I got what I expected from such a one sided panel and I do not expect things to improve in the future .
Sky are really the pits and I hope and wish they lose their premier rights to anybody really they could not be more biased as that is an impossibility. tossers and then I can pay my money to someone more even handed .

I switched streams on Monday night from Sky to NBC and the contrast between Tyler and whoever the fuck does commentary on NBC was stark.

Tyler is a rambling mess of a commentator these days.

What makes Man UtD’s and Wolves’s run in even easier, is that they don’t also have their Europa games clogging up their schedule.

Fernandes is a game changer for United in the sense that their attacking play is being knitted together in a much more superior fashion bringing the best out of the rest of them.

He settled quick which makes a massive difference when building on early confidence.

I still think we have the better side overall though and if there were more than 10/12 games left I'd be confident of finishing at least 5th, possibly 4th.

We'll probably finish 6th at best, but next season we'll be up there.

Lo Celso and Bergwign will be so pivotal, and the difference could be Ndombele in terms of us having a great season not just a good one.

Well any slim chance of catching Chelsea has just gone...
I just said in another thread it’s the first time I’ve really accepted champs league is gone for this year. I just don’t believe Man City will be kicked out so 5th won’t matter IMO.

Look even with champions League we weren't gonna spend big If anything anyway. Would be the usual big name targets at the start and then the whole it's not looking good in the last couple days.

The squad does need a dm but this way without any Europe it's gives this team a bigger chance to do something. There's still massive quality all over

Less games for Harry to roll his ankle, for lamela to break down, and far less fatigue

Relying on 5th or a Leicester bottle job now. They're playing terribly and have a really tough run in. Also them and United play each other last game of the season and we play them in the run in.

Really have to end the season strongly now. If we beat Sheff United then we have decent games until the NLD. We have a real good chance to pick up momentum here and hopefully nick it!

We won’t catch Chelsea or United now, only hope is a Leicester collapse and we pip Wolves to 5th and then City’s ban is upheld. But yeh basically it’s over. Europa it is.

We're 4 points behind United and Wolves with 7 games remaining. It's not impossible.

We just have to win 6 out of 7 and hope they slip up.

United have some tricky games coming up, going to Brighton and Villa who are fighting for their lives won't be easy.

It's a massive ask. But you never know

I'm not so worried about this year, it's gone. What worries me more is that the top five have really got their act together and those Champions League positions are starting to look increasingly distant. I can't see us troubling CL again for the foreseeable future tbh.?

I think that's a bit over the top.

If nothing else, we'll compete next season.

That said, massive opportunities have been missed by us over the last 2 to 3 years.

I agree with this. I think we will be 6th/7th for the foreseeable future. We had the chance to invest and push on and we didn't. We might sneak the odd season in the CL, but I don't see us being regulars for some time.

The best thing that could happen to us is City getting banned for 2 years as unlikely as that may be. Yeah it might mean they get 2 easy cracks at the league but I can't see many of their key players and manager being too happy not being involved in Europe. If they lose big players that will probably damage them more. I'd imagine they will sell players for big fees then look to splurge mega money in a couple of years though.

Leicester, I think we could catch next season. I'm worried about teams like Chelsea, Wolves and United who will likely drift away from us with more good additions.

If we cant get 5th i would like to skip European football. Just focus on league and cups next year and see where we end up.

After the result last night I thought it was gone. Just looked at Leicester's fixtures though and with their form they are almost definitely catchable. To stand any chance though we might well need 7 wins, which is a very tall order...
