It's probably more for the Coronavirus thread but basically, there quite a bit of doubt on the numbers being reported across the world, with many places seen as posting misleading death tolls.Don't really understand this??

Here in the UK, we appear to have the most honest and accurate figures but that's creating the illusion that we are the worst hit country in Europe.
It's probably safe to say that everywhere will be hit by this in exactly the same way, it's only the government's reporting that will differ.

You're right, my post was a sweeping generalisation, just trying to respond to a question without clogging up the thread too much. Will everyone be hit in exactly the sameway? Some countries handled things differently, reacted earlier...
That would influence how the virus spread surely.
Ola! Despite rumours to the contrary, I'm not at the hub of decision making. Why not tweet the premier league?Guten morgen @Metalhead. German squads going into quarantine. Brighton having 3 players test positive. Void the season and work towards starting next season in September

It's not coincidental that we overtook Span and Italy when we started including deaths from care homes?...Spain and Italy still dont.Don't really understand this??
Then you include the fact we have 10% higher population than Italy, and 40% higher than Spain. It's probably more for the Coronavirus thread but basically, there quite a bit of doubt on the numbers being reported across the world, with many places seen as posting misleading death tolls.

I really don’t see what the difference is going to be with starting the season in a month or in September, the virus will still be here so it’s either make it as safe as possible or wait untill a vaccine is found, by that time half the football league will be goneGuten morgen @Metalhead. The virus will still be here, yes. But it still not really safe right now. We’re on the downslope of this wave but we shouldnt let our guard down. The risk right now is too high.I really don’t see what the difference is going to be with starting the season in a month or in September, the virus will still be here so it’s either make it as safe as possible or wait untill a vaccine is found, by that time half the football league will be gone
I am assumign based on what BJ said today - the government has taken the decision out of the PLs hands? or am I mistaken... i mean they could cite exceptions which the PL could be one
