Fair enough but whatever the questions is £80m for Zaha is not the answer. That Osihmane(SP) at Lille looks dynamic enough to play off the wing from the one video I watched on him. He reminds me of Adebayor with his long legs and bouncy running style. Whether he's actually decent or not is another matter.
True i was not suggesting Zaha for 80m either. Just the 50, maybe 60.

I like that Lille guy. But as you say the french league is utter toilet.

(Not ITK)- if we bring him in I think it’s good business. Realistically we won’t be able to attract the elite level strikers to sit on the bench as they want playing time. Any striker that comes in will have to put in a shift until April until they become an option off the bench and nothing more. Liverpool have Origi but wouldn’t exactly call him elite. Chelsea don’t have an elite striker. City have Jesus, who is probably the best backup striker in the league but has not shown that he is an elite goal scorer. Llorente played the same role but was completely immobile due to his age. This guy is younger, plays a very similar way to Harry Kane and presses extremely well/effectively.

Plus they were trying to shift him 18/24 months ago and he wanted to leave. We were even credited with an interest at one stage. In hindsight we should of got him!

We have a horrible record of buying strikers (thank god for Kane), let's hope this guy bucks the trend.

Tottenham and AC Milan have held talks about signing Krzysztof Piatek this month.
Talks are not at an advanced stage and no formal offers have yet been made for the Polish striker.

It is unclear at this point if any move would be temporary or permanent.

Sky are painting a different picture

He's not a target man. He's the same height as Son.

Good. I thought all the moaning in the Mourinho and match day threads over the last month or so, was mainly around our football being boring and Mourinho turning us into the 1980s Wimbledon. People moan about the tactics and now moaning we arent buying a target man when they don't want us to play that way anyway! You've got to laugh.

Tbf JJ did say last night it's too early to confirm or deny anything in regard to transfers.

this is good news, but if we cant provide him with chances he's not gonna settle and then be tagged janssen mk2. and the truth is we dont have the players to provide him, we need a dm and hoipefully gio and ndombele can start creating.

Lots of smoke around this one now. Personally, I hope it's a loan with an option. Don't want to be saddled with another dud. Also, a permanent fee would probably affect our other dealings in areas which, in the long term, in high priority areas that need urgent attention. The Kane injury has well and truly chucked the cat amongst the pigeons. Bit of a shame for Troy Parrott as well but I don't think Mourinho was ever going to give him a chance.

We have needed a backup CF for about 20 years. 30 mil for a 24 year old with huge potential and the ability to learn from Harry is reasonable for back up. It's not 2002 when 30 mil gets you a worldie.

I'm all for this.

Definitely should be a loan and not permanent.

In the Italian milan forums they are not so happy about the prospect of him leaving. A few highlights

'For him to leave now would be shit'

'I wouldn't sell him for less than 50 million. He is a good Centre Forward, he isn't world class and probably isn't the top level player we would like to be leading our line, however, right now he is one of only few not to blame for the current situation'

'Ideally ibra will arrive and help him develop. He still has a lot to learn to truly become a top player'

'I'd rather keep him with Ibra. I mean, for 30 million who would you buy to replace him?'

'Selling Piatek would be a mistake, the problems we've have are not our centre forwards but rather our complete lack of creativity'

'Now, Piatek is not world class, but he knows how to score. We have to play to his strengths, not to what the manager would like him to be capable of'

read that in a gattuso accent.

Oh dear. This just isn't Tottenham's MO.

I can’t get my head around the club seems to think it’s a good idea to bring in a striker for 30m?

When Kane is back we all know how it goes.

KP will be gone in 2 years, and he’s still pretty young.

Why not spend another 20 and get someone who can play WF and Striker like Zaha, basically another Son?

because we have son and moura?

A bit of a summary here.

Palace have cooled their interest in KWP. They are going for Tosun at Everton. think you can only loan one PL player in a season but might be wrong.
