You’re right, but he seems to have gone from slow and ponderous compared to other PL midfielders to slow and ponderous compared to over 40’s Sunday league.

BM just look on another level. This was a horrible match of football from us.
There is so much to be criticize about the performance but our inability to sort out who is first and who is our second defender is awful. Combine that with poor closing speed and we're lucky they haven't scored two or three more. When it was early Poch, we hunted in packs with great decisionmaking. I have no idea what went wrong but in the meantime, it is frustrating knowing that these are preventable, mental mistakes we didn't use to make.

I’m simultaneously gutted and relieved.
Relieved because he doesn’t have to play a part in this shit show, but gutted because that’d be forgotten in time and making his CL debut at such a young age would be incredible, regardless of how it came about.

Some players disappointed him, wasted the slots. Not helped with being 3-1 down. The last thing he wants is another morale-hurting thrashing.
