Sky showed a replay after Son went and paused it immediately before the break. The last shot was Gomes sliding with his right foot about to go beneath him, before Aurier was near him. The co-commentator said his studs got caught.

No way did VAR check that within 5 seconds of which was the time it took for Atkinson to issue a red after a yellow
Well that's a worry because they think that was a red there's no hope for the game. Yes his tackle did bring him down, but it didn't cause the injury, his fall caused the injury.
