Why did the ref send him off? He gave a yellow at first. Did var then make him give a red or did he just see the injury and think "oh he's broken his leg so it must be a red"

If this weekend of football is what it's going to be like in the future then I am out.

Son Heung Min has been sent off for doing fuck all and the FA have ALREADY come out and justified the red given ...

Football is fucking corrupt.

Couldn't give a shit what happens with our current state, the game has gone.
The PL (not FA) have explained why the decision was made, nothing more. It does not mean it won't be appealed and it does not mean we can't win that appeal.

Thanks for the second place league finish, Cup final defeats, and general we nearly did something good's Poch.

Now fuck off. You've been found out as an average manager. You inherited the right squad at the right time, and now you haven't got a fucking clue the minute we start to decline. A half decent manager would have galvanised the squad and stopped the rot by now.

Two of the most unpleasant hours of football I can remember. Really had everything.

Irrespective of going down to ten men, and without Kane this really should be a crossroads for Pochettino.

Nothing convinced me today that there is light at the end of the tunnel, this isn't about playing through a bad period, unless you count twenty odd PL games as a bad period.

Nothing in that performance convinced me that only good things lie ahead.

fucking shite, we win that with 11 men. Martin Atkinson based his red on the injury, shocking officiating all round. Why didn’t var overturn it?!
Was it Atkinson or VAR? Because he gave a yellow first and then a red a couple of minutes later, which suggested someone had a word.

Presumably that means it can be overturned.

It will be looked at, and if it isn't a red card challenge it will be rescinded.

Surely only if we appeal?
Which I think would be in a bit of bad taste, just take that one game. Not sure Son will be ready to play in a while anyway, he's a very sensitive man

Not a game to get back to fluid football. It was a battle with Richardson doing everything possible to get players booked and win penalties. A draw is not a bad result in the current run of form. Players look so short of confidence but nice to see Dele get a quality goal and I thought he led us in the last twenty minutes.

I for one was glad to see Sess get a couple of minutes. He has a least hot started and bringing on a quick player who has defensive experience made sense at the death.

He has access to the exact same replays as the rest of us and that’s his opinion, my opinion is based on this. I would much rather be proven absolutely wrong on this but anybody who thinks Aurier doing this to someone wasn’t inevitable is kidding themselves.
Aurier is often reckless and rash, no denying it. But FFS man, this isn't on him. It's a freak fucking accident.

Have you seen replays of it? What did Aurier actually do? I haven't by the way.

We have to appeal first. It won't be looked at if we don't.
Yeah but that's a given. If it isn't a red card challenge like some are suggesting, we will appeal.

We can't get all soppy and not appeal just because Gomes got injured.

The red card was bollocks but we should be able to deal with the occasional piece of bad luck. Should’ve closed out the game regardless.
I agree, but one more man would've made a huge difference (especially the only player we have in the team that could sprint)
and with them having to attack we could easily have caught them on the break (no pun intended :cautious: )

The PL have issued a statement defending the Red so that clearly isn't being rescinded.

Also, Gomes' recovery is the most important one. But when I think back to how Son felt he'd let everyone down after Bournemouth red he's really gonna struggle with this.

It wasn't a penalty. If it takes 300 replays from 17 different camera angles to make a decision then it's not clear and obvious.

We were fucked over by a bullshit red card.

Yes Poch needs to go and we played like shit. But we would have won without that red card.
You have no idea we would of won that game...no idea at all. What a ridiculous comment to make.
