Obviously not possible to blame VAR for Gomes incident. But it destroys the rhythm of the games, players lose focus, creating a really weird atmosphere that football has never had before.

Only saving grace today is that dad isn’t watching it on tv here so can’t hear him abusing the tv lol - instead he’s stewarding to the game so actually got paid to watch that shit! And as pissed he’ll be with spurs he’s made money so that will make him a bit happier! ??

I will say again. Has anyone actually seen what Aurier is supposed to have done? The replay was frozen before contact so I for one have no idea.

For me, no player caused the injury. It looked like an awkward landing

How on earth did Son see red not Aurier. Son’s was an innocuous bad tackle, Aurier mutilated the guy, which was inevitable as he flies in like that every time. He’s a monster and i am ashamed he plays for us. I will never support this player.

I’ve seen the replay on twitter multiple times and Aurier was going for the ball, not expecting Gomes to go down after the clip from Son.

Whole thing from Son’s clip to the leg break was under 1 second.

Branding Aurier a monster for his involvement in such a horrible incident is horse shit and you should be damn ashamed of yourself.

I’m used to you talking out of your arse but this is next-level even for you.

Lucas really hasn't done himself many favours in proving he shouldn't be just sat on the bench to be honest. In fairness to him he hasn't had a chance to develop any rhythm, but still underperforming quite a bit given his ability.

I have doubts that the FA will over turn the red card because of what followed & they won’t wanna look silly by overruling “VAR”

Overreaction much?
I don't think aurier did it either. I think his leg was behind him when aurier made his challenge. I think it was just an accident.

of course it was an accident, doesn’t mean it wasn’t his fault for flying in like that. It was also an accident when the ambassador’s wife killed that boy up north, still her fault. All of you need to rewind and watch it again.

I might be wrong but I rewinded the incident and it looks pretty clear to me that his studs got stuck in the ground but his leg continued the momentum.

I don’t think as you describe it can snap a leg in half unless he’s got toothpick bones.

I agree with people this is not a red card but it never gets rescinded - it would make a mockery of VAR and they cant have anymore negative publicity...
Shocking injury but Son needs some arms around him tonight

The red card was ridiculous, crowd pleaser.

More like a heat of the moment decision based on the natural human reaction of the players crowd staff etc to the injury. I can understand it, but he needs to remain professional and consult the VAR and get the decision right.
