Could have been worse - could've been her 2-7thThis one will live long in the memory for all the wrong reasons, and one we will never be able to forget even though we want to, especially like many of us if we can say we were actually there to witness us concede more goals at home in one match than I have ever seen us concede.
In my lifetime the following nightmare results are forever etched on my memory, which can't be undone.
Derby 8 Spurs 2
Liverpool 7 Spurs 0
Spurs 0 A**enal 5
Spurs 1 Chelsea 6
Newcastle 7 Spurs 1.
and now this one has joined that grisly looking list, where comical and suicidal defending and tactics on that scale is something haven't seen from us in a long while....this was reminiscent of that pathetic surrender on the last day away at Newcastle. Fortunately, I was not at any of those games above to witness them person, but I was with this one, and this has rnow replaced my first hand witnessing of us being rinsed 5-1 away at Wimbledon in 1991 as the biggest defeat I'd seen live and in person and that was at Plough Lane. I've seen some real highs and lows live at the lane and on away days but this is the lowest of the lows.
Thanks a f*cking bunch Spurs, this all happened the night before my other Half's birthday, and it is one that is a big milestone birthday if that ain't bad enough, and she was there to witness this horror show with me, so when I think back in years to come, this sorry shitshow will always be associated with it. I'm trying my best to put on a happy face for her and not let it drag me down but it's one hell of an effort and challenge.
I'm sparing a thought too for the poor f*ckers who it may have been their first visit ever to a Spurs game, what a memory !!
